  1. Thanks!! So far I love them. I have less then 1000 miles on them so I think it's a little early to say how quiet they are, but for MT's the noise is not bad at all. Radio barely on and you don't even notice it.
  2. You can tell my rear tires stick out a bit more then yours and as far as the fronts go, the taller the leveling kit, the tighter the wheels get pulled to the center of the truck because of the suspension geometry. This is why my front and rear poke is almost identical vs a truck with a true lift kit. With those the front wheels always poke out a bit more then the rear.
  3. Thanks man! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. After doing a little bit of hauling after the level and wheels and tires, I will say I kinda wish I would have left a little more rake. Maybe up 2" in the rear instead of just 1. It doesn't take a whole lot of weight in the box or tounge weight and she starts squatting a little bit. My buddy put bags and compressor with a wireless controller on his 2017 and it's a slick set up. Might do the same.
  4. Because of the geometry of the suspension components, the leveling kits are not a 1 to 1 lift ratio so that sounds about right. My 2.5" front upper spacer measured less then 2". 1 11/16" if I remember correctly.
  5. Well I might get the chance to test out the x3's in the rain Today. If so I'll chime in with any good or bad.
  6. Yeah that is very true. I must admit that my truck won't see any real deep mud and I have MT's so I guess I kind of fit into that category lol. But like I said originally I was looking for AT's and for the price difference to the X3 with red letters, it was a no brainer. I had 35x12.5 Duratracs on my 03 with 9" of lift and I loved them. Cool looking tire and performed well. That truck I did take into anything because she had a little rust on the rockers and I didnt feel so bad lol but anyways, regardless of what people are actually going to do with a set of tires, the tire manufacturer still has to keep in mind that if they market an MT tire, at least a fraction of buyers will actually use it for what it was intended and if you make a junk tire, the word will spread. Not good.
  7. Yeah I could definitely see that for sure. I never read reviews on them but I don't see how they'd be very good in the deep sticky mud either.
  8. Yeah me too they remind me of a cement truck tire. The new x3's like mine are actually MT's not AT's but IMO they are kind of right inbetween the two which is why I like them. The x3 is supposed to out perform the old Grabber in every way tho.
  9. From what I've gathered, General is discontinuing that tire and it's being replaced by the X3. Tire rack just had blow out sales on that tire in all sizes and most of them are all gone so I'm assuming that's what is happening.
  10. So far I really like them although I haven't put too many miles on them. For an MT they are very quiet but most brand new MT's usually are for a little while. And as far as rear blocks go, there is way too much confusion because of people using the overall height of the block instead of how much lift your new block will give you. all the lift blocks I found were labeled by how much lift they will give you ??
  11. Ultra Type 164's 17x9 -12 offset General Grabber x3's 295/70R17
  12. Finally got my level and wheels and tires! Couldn't be happier with the results. Motofab 2.5" front and 1" rear 17x9 -12 offset with 295/70R17 General Grabber x3's All I did for trimming was cut out a little piece of the rear of the front wheel wells. If done clean enough, you'd never really even know if was done. No rubbing of any kind
  13. Yeah true. Not a fan of all that either. I've decided on the motofab 2.5" front kit but I'm going back and forth between the 1" and 2" blocks to go in the rear. Do you have any pics of your setup?
  14. I agree completely. Especially MT's on 20's. even with 35-37's, I'd still run 17's or smaller lol. I had 35/12.5r16's on my lifted '03 Silverado. Thanks for the good luck on the wheels and tires. I'll be sure to post pics and info on fittment.
  15. That setup looks fantastic! With all the crazy wheel designs out today, I love a simple 17" wheel. You don't see it very often. I for one am I huge fan of soft 8 style wheels so I went with Ultra type 164's. They are a -12 offset so we'll see what kind of trimming and zip tying I'll have to do when they get here. Also I decided on a 2.5" front and 2" rear kit. 2.5" seems to be a comfortable limit without a diff drop and aftermarket UCA's. Hopefully the extra .5" will do me some good. A friend of mine has a 3" front level and you can see the upper arms are riding on the bump stops more then I'd like to see.
  16. Thanks for the input! I was hoping somebody on here was running a -12 with not too much rubbing. I'm ok with a little bit of wheel well trimming or pulling back. I've been scrolling through customwheeloffset.com and found a 2014 with 3" motofab front level running the exact setup I mentioned and claims no rubbing or trimming. I think the 3" level is a little too much for the front end but did find a 2.5" from motofab so I've decided on that now. Any thoughts on this?
  17. Hey guys! So I know this is probably one of the most covered topics of all but I'm hoping to find a little more info on wheel/tire fittment with a leveling kit. At this point I'm leaning towards the RC 2" front level for now. I have set of 17x9s picked out because I like more tire and less wheel. I've read through this thread till I was blue in the face and couldn't find much of an answer. I'm trying to decide between 0 or -12 offset and then also between 285/70's and 295/70's. Just wondering if anybody with experience with these sizes could chime in if possible so I can't get these wheels and tires coming. I found a ton of info on stock wheels but not as on wheels with these specs. The -12 offset wheels with 295/70 would be best case scenario for me but I'm guessing 0 offset carries less of a chance of rubbing? Thanks in advance for any and all input guys!
