  1. Thank you sir, looks like we have the SLT2 then.
  2. Talked to GMC service today about our new Terrain, (bought 2015 SLT a week after we bough our 2016 GMC Sierra SLT). Wanted to replace the headlights and fogs with LED because we like the look of it and the actual candle power of the white light in the dark. Turns out GM doesn't make an LED upgrade package for headlights or fogs for the Terrain. They told me we have to check out third party options. So, is there anything out there that would provide a 3rd party option similar to the Sierra LED headlights? Another interest we had is to put the wheel well/fender trim on all four fenders like the Sierra, again GM doesn't make them for the Terrain, and the service tech told me there is no third party option either. Does anybody have any pics of their Terrain with customizations? Ours is "Cream/Champagne" color with double black/red pin stripe down the sides and 18" premium alloy/chrome wheels. Last question, How do you know if you have an SLT 1 or 2? The tag only states SLT but I see a lot of SLE's even have some of the same features.
  3. It's 8 speed, got on the turnpike on the way home yesterday and tested. So now that I know I have a question about our camper. We have a 33' camper which in the past truck, (Ram) we averaged 9 miles per gallon hitched up with tow control enabled. Which is better, using the auto shift or just leave it in drive? And for what it's worth the cab is huge. The back windows are the same size as the front. I'm 6' tall and can practically stretch out.
  4. I see you have K&N Intake on your signature. Any chance you can post a video of starting up the truck and engine rev? I've been debating the K&N for two reasons. On my wife's side of the fam, Her brother, uncle and cousin, (uncles son) all have Silverado's and they all installed the K&N cold air intake. They said it helps with gas mileage and suggested I should get it as well, because it also sounds really good too. Does it change the sound that much?
  5. Gotcha, never thought of that, thanks for the suggestion. All of my last three trucks have had auto shift. I tinkered with that locally around town shortly after we bought it but didn't get past 3rd before I decided to put it back in drive. I'll try that on the way home from work, (turnpike driving).
  6. We bought ours used, it's also a 16, the salesman said, "your're really going to like this, I think it's an 8 speed too". He didn't know because we bought it from a dealership called "Carsense", they buy up off lease vehicles and resell them, most of the sales guys don't have any clue what they're selling. How would I know if this is an 8 speed, there's nothing in the manuals.
  7. It was purchased used with 12k already on it. I'm not too concerned with the decision the original owner made, It also has the chrome package and we got it for a steal. This truck is awesome and awesome looking.
  8. Well, you guys answered the question and we most certainly feel more than comfortable in the new truck. As for the family, my wife and kids love it, as do I. I was actually kind of caught off guard with all of the options. Yes it's more than adequate for us.
  9. Ok, our SLT doesn't have the 6.2, moonroof, or auto running boards, we have the 5.3. with fixed running boards but we do have everything else, ours is the off-road package with 22" wheels and 9,000 lb towing capacity.
  10. Gotcha, though I do do my best to avoid pot holes at all cost, ha ha.
  11. Thanks for the response truckguy82. LOL, is that it? I can't imagine what MRC would feel like, as I already feel like I'm riding on air compared to the Ram. The ride is so smooth. As for the gauges, no loss for me. That's really interesting because the overall cost for the Denali is like $10k more.
  12. Hello, Just dumped our 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with 57k on it and replaced with used 2016 GMC Sierra Z71 1500 SLT with 12k on it. The vehicles are in no way whatsoever comparable, completely night and day. From a driving and use perspective I feel like the Sierra is a corvette to the Ram being a chevette, (random vehicle comparison). I feel like I was driving a piece of crap for the past two years. The RAM had a lot of extras but the GMC is fully loaded. With that being said, I've seen Sierra Denali's and I've been told that is the fully loaded version of the Sierra. So my question is, what possibly can my truck not have that the Denali does, I'm certain it's got every extra there is possible. Thank you to all in advance for any response.
