  1. Update, GM called me today and they are replacing my vehicle.... just have to figure out how they are going to do the loan and GAP piece... 2020 truck ordering is cut off and I have to wait till the beginning of August to order a 2021...
  2. About 100-125 miles after they replaced the parts per the PIP... Its back!
  3. Understand, but why would you buy a truck that doesn’t meet the requirements of your drive? If you knew the tank was small and still bought it, then ?
  4. I honestly don’t know why anyone is still complaining about this. GM is doing what is best based off of their own market research into the matter. When consumers see a smaller fuel tank, they think it’s more affordable. For example, years ago when I was looking at a F150, my wife was turned away at the fact that every single truck had a 36 gallon tank. GM doesn’t care about feelings, they want the money of masses, not the 1%.
  5. Just started all my BBB stuff yesterday as well. I'm sure if the shaft was shorter, we wouldn't have these issues... but hey I am not an automotive engineer, so what do I know?
  6. Not true, I have an AT4 with the SU4 front axle that made noise... Dealer was finally able to get the stub shaft out with a wedge. They had to pull the diff cover, and put the wedge between the center pin and stub shaft to get it out. When the shaft was reinstalled with the PIP parts, the shaft went right back to touching the center pin. Me and the tech saw it first hand and it didn't look right. Oh well, the noise maker 7000 is put back together and still making noise, just not as loud... Yet...
  7. Update, GM called me today and wants to potential do a trade... we shall see... not too optimistic about this since I will probably be on the loosing end.
  8. Update, they attempted to repair my truck according to the PIP but they weren’t able to remove the stub from the front diff to complete the repair. Apparently there is a specialty tool that is need that no dealer has in my area. The tool is also on back order for the next 30 or so days. They may just send a new front diff but who knows at this point. Called GM and asked a collateral transfer to a new truck that does exhibit this specific issue. Don’t see it getting approved anyway though. I’m going to reach out to a lemon law attorney depending what GM comes back with. any feedback is welcomed!
  9. Tuesday I go in to the dealership for the PIP. Not expecting much other than wasted time. Will have pictures
  10. Is it coming from the front drivers side wheel well? If so your prob hearing the front axle jingle... that’s the only thing I can think of.
  11. Yeah, if it was a final fixit would be a TSB and not a PIP. GM called me today and are super eager to if the parts they sent fixed the issue. Super odd. Either way my truck goes in next week.
  12. Good to know! Hopefully this fixes the issue, even though I’m highly skeptical.
  13. Yeah they just ordered my parts today and they are coming from Michigan from what my Service Manager told me. He said it will take about a week to a week and a half to get here to Colorado. We are going to do a part comparison before the parts get installed and I'm going to take pictures of it to document everything.
  14. Here is the axle video I made, I was using my bad arm so it was tough for me to pull on it... Made a very similar sound... GM Corporate called me today, update call will be on Tuesday.
  15. Just figured I would post this here as well. 4wd, supplier su5, 3.42 ratio, code: aalw, aamc. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-differential-assembly-84692153/?c=YT1nbWM%3D 4wd, supplier su5, 3.23 ratio. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-differential-assembly-84692152/?c=YT1nbWM%3D
  16. Version E: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10173724-9999.pdf It now includes 2020, and I'm sure the replacement parts that wont work.
  17. What do you mean by this? If you have to PM me that is fine.
  18. So my question is this... What did you loose, money wise, when your truck got bought back for this? What should I do at this point? Oh I know GM doesn't care about its customers. However, I know my dealership does.
  19. Is this the sound your talking about? I took this while I was driving... Started around 430 miles on a highway drive and the truck has 760 miles on it now. It was about 80 degrees today. 2020 1500 AT4 6.2L When I hit Auto it stopped immediately and I heard a little thud from the front of the truck.
  20. Fords standard tank on the F150 is only 23 gallons. The 36 gallon tank is an option with the max towing package I believe. Either way, if you want a bigger fuel tank find a truck brand that suits what you need. Complaining about it on a user based community isn’t going to do anything to change what GM does. On my old 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali 5.3L I got 450- miles on a tank. Which I though was good enough. With my 2020 Sierra 1500 AT4 I am happy with a 24 gallon tank. I don’t tow anyways and if I did I would of gotten a 2500. ?
