  1. KC Cyclones Bright but doesn't wash out the camera.
  2. These are amazing. Did my truck with 2 of them and then did my wife's Sportage. Good size, not to big to handle. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BD5F1EA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Meguiars is much better then the Mothers product. Mothers is to thick and doesn't wipe off as easy
  4. I use a 2400psi gas powerwasher with a 45 degree tip and its works great. Rinse use foam cannon to apply soap, hand wash with microfiber mit, rinse mit in 2 buckets. Truck comes out beautiful and cuts wash time down.
  5. I did it two years ago, so I don't remember step by step. Basically.... I removed the tow hooks cut the air dam so the lights would fit drilled holes for mounting screws mounted lights with an up/down bracket from rigid, used a piece of aluminum on backside of air dam for a little extra strength, even with the up/down bracket I had to shim the bottom to get a good alignment ( i used a piece of rubber) mounted relay near battery and ran the wire through the firewall through the access hole neat the steering knuckle. (found it on youtube) removed a-pillar and overhead (also youtube) loosened headliner and ran wire. mounted the Rigid switch in the overhead.
  6. I used Rigid SR-Q flush mount lights and the Flush mount up/down gasket and I still had to "shim" the gasket a little. Also, I cut some aluminum for the back to add a little support to air dam.
  7. illegal in michigan. check your state"s law
  8. Ya and look at the glare they throw. No way should HIDs be put in a reflector housing
  9. I removed the tow hooks and mounted some flush mount Rigid lights. Ran the wire through the firewall and mounted the switch in the overhead.
  10. Broke the top off the fuse when I moved it, problem is I can't find a replacement. The Dealer only shows a 40 amp but it's a 50 amp. I've searched the several different parts stores online and can't find one. Any suggestions?? Thanks Had to make a couple of stops, but found a 50amp replacement at advance
  11. I just see it around the drains under the hatch for the bed divider.
  12. It appears to still have a little water in the bed, but it is channeled to the drains better, Haven't had it out in a "downpour" yet, but it appears better then prior to the TSB repair.
  13. Mine was finally finished Tuesday, a process that started the week of Memorial Day. I never considered it a "severe" leak. The new panels do seem to lock together much tighter. Guess we'll see if the fix makes the bed water tight. In the mean time I've come up with a hack for my truck that solves the problem. Made a pull out tray and have a 4'x6' bag. For me it's not a huge deal, I bought the truck because it was distinctive and it was $9500.00 off before my supplier discount.
  14. "Water-resistant storage unit helps protect cargo from extreme elements". I'm not a lawyer but I think GM covered their ass.
  15. Good luck with a lemon law. Every article that I have read about the High Desert package states that it is "water resistant". Kinda like the difference between my work boots and my waders.
  16. I can not answer that. All I know there are three boxes in the bed that have new panels in them. Since it's going to be 3 weeks for the rest of the parts to arrive, I've picked up my truck with a disassembled insert. I have not compared the old panels to the new ones..
  17. That is the TSB that my dealer is working on. I'm getting new panels as part of the work.
  18. Mine is in the process of having the TSB work performed. The bag of seals and gaskets that has the correct part number is wrong. They've talked with "parts tech" and the correct seals are still being manufactured, 2-3 weeks before they arrive. The"fix" includes new panels, seals and gaskets, hopefully it will correct the issue. The TSB is for the early models, wonder if anybody with a 2018 has leak issues.
  19. I've been waiting 6 weeks for the dealer to get the parts. At first they just blew me off, but I sent an e-mail to a contact in Chevy corporate and that got the ball rolling. I put dielectric grease on all the seals, it helped a little.
  20. It books at a 4 hour job, looks like you have to totally dismantle the insert. Might as well have it done, may not make it totally waterproof but it might make it better and if GM is going to cover it...why not.
  21. I've searched the internet and can't find a definite answer. Is it suppose to be waterproof? Does anybody know for sure? TXS Think I need a smaller truck, it just took 7 1/2 to wash and wax.......
