  1. Added this little gem to my Driver’s front tire last night. Un-pluggable, so I had to order a new tire from Discount Tire. Appointment made for Thursday.
  2. Thanks TX LIMO, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I purchased the LED's from Amazon. Below is a snip of the exact ones I purchased. Thanks again for the compliment.
  3. So, I've been debating whether I wanted to do the rear bumper step light mod or not. I don't need the additional light for backing up, (I have 2" RC Pods for that purpose) but thought it might be nice for illuminating the step should I need to get into the bed at night. I ended up going ahead and installing 3/4" LED white pods that I tied into the reverse circuit. I did the cargo light / reverse light diode mod a while back, so whenever the cargo lights or reverse lights are on, the step lights will come on. Also added 3/4" LED red outer marker lights and tied them into parking lights.
  4. Uniden 980 SSB mated with a 3' Firestik antenna.
  5. Midnight, I apologize, I'm not sure what you mean by art up. As far as my range, I was checking for radio checks, and I was talking to guys that were on I55 and I80, which is about 4-5 miles from my house. I may be able to get a little further when I get out on the open road, but that was just from my driveway. SWR readings at 1.25 across channels 1 & 40.
  6. Finally got a chance to tune my Firestik CB antenna. A big thanks to @Ravenkeeper for his guidance and help with getting my SWR readings within specs.
  7. As promised, here are the pictures of the finished project. I will definitely be looking for a quick disconnect for the antenna.
  8. Will do. Assuming there are no problems. Should be able to post some pics this Sunday.
  9. I have a GatorTrax retractable Tonneau cover (Rebranded Retrax). I am going to install in the center of the non-retracting part of the tonneau cover.
  10. This weekend's Project. Hope to have my filler plate for that open space behind my CB, completed and installed as well.
  11. Thank you for your service!! Uniden had a CB that included a scanner and radar detector incorporated into the unit, but it was running over $400. I really don’t have any use for the Sideband right now, but it’s nice to have in case I need it in the future. I may visit the scanner issue in the future, but I’m looking to get a front / rear dash cam next. Seeing how society seems to be headed in the wrong direction. So the scanner will have to wait for now.
  12. Thanks Chris for the comments. Yea, I was following the whole saga when your 2015 got totaled. She was definitely a good looking truck. My plan was to mount the 4' Firestik antenna with the heavy duty spring and quick disconnect centered on my front bed lip behind the cab. I have a GatorTrax retractable tonneau cover, so the stack pockets are out. I was on RightChannel Radios today and I'm starting to rethink my idea. They have a Firestik dome mount, I'm thinking of mounting that on the front non-retracting part of my tonneau and going with the Firestik 4' Firefly antenna, seeing how the aluminum tonneau cover isn't as strong as my bed lip. May just my stick with my original plan, seeing how its ordered already. As far as that filler piece to cover the area behind the CB, I purchased an external speaker to mount on top of the plexglass / lexan, seeing how the CB speaker will be under the plexiglass / lexan and there is adequate space behind the CB to mount it along with the Mike mount. I would love to run a Scanner underneath the CB, as you did. When I retired from the Fire Service, they were going to digital radios and going away from the analog radios that were able to be picked up on the older scanners. I remember I had a Realistic home scanner to follow police and fire when I was much younger. I'm sure there are digital scanners out there, but probably way out of my price range. Anyway, when I get the project all completed, I'll post some pics of the finished project. Good luck with outfitting the 2018.
  13. Test fit my new Uniden Bearcat 980SSB CB. Just waiting on my 4' Firestick antennae to arrive. Plan on fitting a piece of plexiglass with carbon fiber vinyl wrap to cover open space below CB.
  14. Installed my color matched All Terrain Grill today. That, along with the Bumpershellz covers that I installed earlier this year, my front end is finally de-chromed to my liking. Next up, no-drill amber roof top clearance lights. Thanks to Britt @Waterfowler41 for that next purchase . Before and after pics: Before: After:
  15. If my wife caught me draining my catch can in her Pyrex, I wouldn't be on this forum anymore.
  16. Hey Guys, I'm interested as well, seeing how I'm running the Range AFM Disable as well as an UPR catch can with clean side separator.
  17. Just got the trim bezel paint matched for my All-Terrain grill. Now if it would just get above freezing so I can install. Currently 8 degrees right now.
  18. Definitely, I purchased a vinyl overlay for mine. Take a look at the pic I sent you a few pages back in the "2016 SLT lights in the 14/15 SLT". I bought a new black with chrome outline for my new all terrain grill. It goes in for the trim bezel to be painted Onyx black tomorrow. Ill post a few pics when I get it installed.
  19. Looks good Texas. You wont believe the difference in light output at night. This has got to be one of the most popular upgrades for us guys with the old style halogen headlights.
  20. Thank you Texas, appreciate the compliment. Next up for me, color matched Onyx Black All-Terrain grill.
  21. Hey Texas, I found that pic for you. I personally like how the black housing blends in with my bumper.
  22. I have the Morimoto XBs in my SLT. Nice cut off, great side lighting and very bright. I also have the Denali LED Headlight and tail light upgrade. The Morimoto XBs match perfectly with color output of the Denali LEDs. I have a pic earlier in the post with both headlights and XBs on. It is during the daylight, but you will get the idea. If you are looking above the cutoff line, the XBs look very tiny, but looking below the cutoff line they are bright.
  23. It's that time of year again...
  24. Thanks Britt, I appreciate the review and recommendation to buy. Love the new look.
