  1. How about this: A 2016 Silverado 1500, installed a 5.5" Rough Country lift, easy enough, changed the 342 rear gears to 410's, went perfect. Changed the front diff to 410's also and noticed a loud groan in 4auto. Took front diff out again and rechecked everything, backlash, pinion depth and preload, all within specs. The truck was quiet before lift kit, after lifted and before gear change it already had a louder 4 wheel auto. The kit drops the front diff as not to put a bind on the front driveshaft. So bottom line, after pulling front diff twice and checking all specs, it still makes noise in 4auto. Little louder in 4hi but doesn't seem as bad as auto. Anyone have this problem?
