  1. Funny you say that, because I only ever provided you with the radio part number and $200 was the quoted price before you even got my VIN. I'm not interested in a back and forth here. If you offer a fair priced service, great. That's what this is all for. To stop people from getting completely ripped off by greedy programmers. Competition is great for everyone. To anyone who's reading this, feel free to go with whoever you'd like for programming. Have a great rest of your week, y'all.
  2. The best way to find out is to contact the seller that you're buying from and ask for the vehicles VIN. You can send me the VIN and I can pull RPO codes for you guys. I will gather some generic part numbers for you all that I know to be working. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

  4. Hey guys, just wanted to point something out to you all. If you're upgrading a stereo that uses BOSE make sure the module younger came from a truck that had BOSE (RPO UQA) If you're truck doesn't have Bose, make sure you get a module from a truck that doesn't have Bose! They use different calibrations in the radios. The regular radios output an analogue signal while the Bose radios output a digital signal to an amplifier. I am working on getting this fixed so any module can be used, Bose or not, but for the time being this is how it has to work. Thanks everyone. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  5. Actually, the inclusion of HD radio isn't reliant on the HMI, but the radio module itself. A U2M radio is HD Radio capable, while a U2K radio is just a regular tuner (With XM). So, for example, I have a U2M radio in my truck, with a 2.5 HMI. I still have HD radio, but no pause or rewind. Just the higher quality signal.
  6. Only suggestion would be to use a different NAV app on ACP (like Waze). The factory GM NAV is completely independent from ACP or AA. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  7. Who gave you the new radio and do you recall if it was a U2K radio? The selling feature of HD radio is the quality combined with the pause and rewind. I'll double check in the morning on my truck as I do have a U2M as my own radio and I recall the pause feature on my old 2.0 HMI but it very well may be absent from the 2.5. 8. UPDATE: For those of you using an inferior operating system iPhone, you have almost all features available. Siri, texting, song selection, volume paddles, cluster display, steering wheel song switching all work. Android Auto will safety lock in a music app if you are making too many reqs in the app while in motion. I'm unsure about iPhone. PM me with questions! Cheers all.
  9. So, a per my understanding, that's a feature that is pre-baked into Carplay and Android Auto. I haven't had much testing with Carplay, other than it works and it's paddle volume control and cluster audio display work as well. Send me a PM with a typical scenario of when it locks up and I'll verify if it does it with this upgrade. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  10. I have. It does not bypass the integrated GM voice. I believe upgrading the cluster to a newer 2016+ model will solve the problem, but to me it's a negligible upgrade. Just saying "OK Google" seems to be just fine for me. Pressing the mic button on screen is also functional.
  11. There are workarounds that will be much cheaper than that. Just give me some more time and I'll point you in the right direction. But for the time being, no paddle volume control is available.
  12. Quick and dirty video from an old phone. Thank you everyone for your patience and following along. PM me for inquiries, I'll have pricing available shortly
  13. I'd be happy to trade ya, however I don't have the trailer brake on my lighting control.
  14. The Radio is responsible for all things MOST. It is the MOST Bus master. It is kind of like the middle man between every module who uses a form of media on board. It also has hardware in it, like an XM receiver, AM/FM tuner and HD Radio module. As for what the EXACT change that happens in the HW between a 2014 module and a 2016 module, I can only assume it's either a calibration set in newer modules to allow ACP and AA to work properly or a physical change in hardware. I don't have a concrete answer for you unfortunately.
  15. That's what I'm trying to figure out! I have a strong feeling the module I have is defective, however I need a second one to test against to make sure everything is working out as it should. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  16. The HMI can be updated to an older build with red accents but you will have older software and the circle icons. It's your choice! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  17. Correct, if it bothers you that much. Personally I'd prefer to have the updated interface.
  18. Color combos in what aspect? The colors on the screen? For the most part, everything you see on the infotainment screen is handled by the HMI. From 2017-2018, GM scrapped the red color scheme and made everything chevy blue, regardless of if the truck was a sierra or silverado. That's why in the new screenshots the scheme is blue. They did this with backlighting and cluster colors as well.
  19. For anyone following along I am once again waiting for parts. I was having issues with the radio module I had originally ordered. A new module is on order and should be installed and ready to go by the end of the week. Once I have full audio for everything I will make a post here, signalling we're good to go! Again, thank you so much for your patience in this. I appreciate it!
  20. Yep. Your date and time is different. Probably set to sometime in january and like 2013? Set it to the proper date and time, toggle the key in the on and off position 5-7 times, start the vehicle, turn it off, restart your phone, turn the truck back on and connect them back up. If that doesnt work I usually just go for a drive without the phone plugged in and do another restart.
  21. I think it's mainly used as a selling feature. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

  23. Ahh I see where the confusion is. So, there's 2 different types of Wifi we're discussing. The OnStar module has wifi because OnStar provides a service to allow your truck to be a mobile hotspot. You purchase data from them and can use it on the road. It makes its own network. The HMI contains a wifi receiver which allows you to connect to networks to download updates and such. Does that make sense? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  24. Don't see how that's possible. I have a 2014 and since I swapped the HMI and Radio I now have Wifi ;) Bluetooth is also contained within the HMI, not a seperate module Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  25. Hmm, maybe I'm mistaken? What year is your truck? If you want to know positivity just pull out your HMI it's a few TORX screws and you'll be certain Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
