  1. No the old ones don't have wifi. The easy way to tell is that Android auto and Carplay don't show up and there is no texting or projection icon. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  2. You got it right! Wifi is contained within the HMI itself Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  3. Making even more progress! HMI has been updated to the newest software, which means Wifi compatibility ! OTA updates are enabled, meaning you will receive all future software updates for the HMI over a valid network connection! Also, the ability to download apps from the shop
  4. For sure. It's your call. Feel free to send me a pm and we'll get you sorted out For anyone else curious, I'll have a full informative post and new thread soon with all the details. Hoping the have everything set within the week. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  5. IMHO Google Maps is leaps ahead of the factory NAV but hey, it's your truck man! Why not have both. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  6. Gonna be a bit more pricey. You need an IO6 HMI 2.5. Here's one. But they'll run you 2-3x the price of a non-nav version. You'll also need an IO6 radio. PM me for more details
  7. I haven't seen one for a few weeks. Someone else asked me and I was unable to find one on his page. Here's one that is $10 more than Dokus. and it's the same part number as the one I received from him. @Kboyts And just so you're aware you may need to have BOTH modules programmed, not just one - even though your radio is from a newer vehicle. I'll be offering programming for BOTH modules for around half of the price of what the other guys want for ONE module for everyone who has been following the journey here
  8. I'm using an 84278527 but any radio module from a 2016+ sierra or silverado will work. Look on ebay for "U2M radio" and verify the build date is after 2016 and has IO5 in the compatible options and you're set. Siri and AA should be fully functional soon! just getting everything put back together
  9. Soon! Just working out some final kinks. HMI should be finished ASAP as well.
  10. Thank you all for waiting... It's been a hell of a ride. Shop will be set up shortly. Until then, here's a sneak peek! Radio unlocks have officially been accomplished. Excuse the potato quality.
  11. Check to see if you already have a 2.5 HMI. If you do you should just need programming!
  12. I appreciate everyone's patience. We are so close. I'm hoping to have it all sorted out here within the next day or two. Hang tight! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  13. That absolutely sucks. I just got all my parts in. I'll have this working (hopefully ?) this weekend. I can probably sort you out if he can't fix it. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  14. You're trying to add the HUD from a yukon to the silverado? Do you know if this has ever been done before? I have a feeling this might either be a complete pain in the ass to do or will require a stupid amount of work.
  15. Hell yeah! Congrats on doing it yourself. Now, would you mind doing us a favor? I need to try and figure out what build date the radios start working with the update and don't require a full replacement. If you could let me know your part number and build date of the radio I would appreciate it. Thanks! P.S. - Do you know what exactly they updated on your tranny? My 2-1 downshift sucks. Feel free to PM me.
  16. I know lol. I'm also incredibly impatient and waiting for all of these parts to come in legitimately feels like an eternity. I want this to be working in my truck so badly.
  17. Not yet, Scott. I'll keep you posted. Shop should be fully set up with verified tested units within 2 weeks time. (I understand, it feels like an eternity). Any updates in regards to successful programs will be posted here.
  18. Most things I buy from eBay cost between $12 and $15 to ship to me. I don't see it costing much more to return. I have a corporate shipping account so I'll get the best discount available. Let me know if you have any more questions! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  19. Not buying a setup. As far as I know there isn't a pre-fabbed setup for doing this. But building a programming bench yourself can easily clear $3000-$4000. There are a lot of parts involved and many are high priced! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  20. I'll be able to give you guys the exact part numbers to get or might even offer a complete package at an extremely discounted price. Like I said. Give me about 2 weeks. I'm just waiting for some final bits of hardware to come in and shipping isn't exactly lightning fast internationally. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  21. Or if you can wait a week or two I'll be offering the same service for a fraction of the price. If you need it ASAP I'd go with WAMS Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  22. Unfortunately that's your only option. He has the cheapest HMI's. Its kind of horseshit that he's making you pay return shipping for his mistake but in all honesty a flat rate small USPS box isn't very expensive (all the more reason for him to eat the cost of HIS mistake). I guess just live and learn? Good luck.
  23. Dokus runs a business upgrading peoples I05 (non nav) units to I06 nav units. He then sells the customers old HMI's on eBay for $100 pre-programmed. It's a great deal for us but it leads me to believe there is no testing or upgrading done prior to him sending out vin-matched units.
