UGH. I took it to the dealership the other day and they claim to have vacuumed it out and the noise is still present. How do I fix this? Please help me before I go insane.

We are right there with you. Not happy at all!!!! For such a cheap repair, they sure are ripping people off!

Hey! Yes, I got it to work. I finally just pried it open, praying that I wouldn't break anything. But once I got the screen open, replacing the ribbon was a breeze. DVD player works great again. Thank you!

Ok, gave it a shot again this morning. Removed the filter and turned the system on, hum is even louder with the filter removed. Filter reinserted and the noise is still present. Tried everything I could try to remove any debris that may have fallen in there and nothing comes out and cannot see anything in there. Noise is driving me insane. I actually want to set this thing on fire now. J/K of course, but almost to that point.

I tried my best to check that, even shoved a ShopVac hose down the opening and no luck, still noisy as ever.

I just changed the cabin air filter in my 2016 Suburban. Before the filter change, there was the normal noise when the A/C system was on. Now, there is a HORRIBLE humming sound coming from the vehicle. It is so loud, that you can hear it outside of the vehicle. I popped the hood and you can hear it near the passenger side firewall, sounds like a sucking sound. I read on here where debris can fall into the system when you change the filter, so I checked that. Nothing. The noise began instantly after changing the cabin air filter. What have I done to my Suburban? It makes it miserable to drive now.

Ok, so I'm at the point of removing the ribbon cable from the monitor but I don't know how to access the screen to remove the ribbon. How do I get the ribbon out of the screen?
