Howdy all, I recently did the pgamboa console swap with a 2014 console into my 2018. Upon installing the console the latch to the armrest snapped off. I’m lead to believe the spring disconnect behind the latch is broken as there is a ton of play on the remaining half of the latch (pictured). It’s locked everything I put inside away indefinitely including my house keys (just a spare thankfully!) and my only working phone charger outlet. I have no idea what to do as I’ve come at this stupid latch every way imaginable with pliers, pin punches, and screwdrivers. I’ve decided to dremel off the remaining latch hoping it will break the lock. Any advice here? Would it be possible to split the “shell” of the latch (bottom plastic part) apart and take the clips with it? Or is it time to pay the dealership a visit and have them rescue it. I already have a new latch in hand so this one is OK to destroy.

Correction to the post above, the two cig lighters in front worked until I turned on the truck and started driving to work. Now only the hidden one under the lid works? I haven’t tried the triple USB. looks great though! Had to break off the latch to open it which is frustrating.

Okay guys hopefully last question since I can see the finish line. Thanks for your help!! I routed the brown port to the passenger seat connection, and I’m still left with the USB by the 6 pin connection that doesn’t lead anywhere I can see. I have function in both cigarette lighters but obviously not the triple USB hub since no USB is giving it power. Any advice here? I can live without the triple if it’s not an option

Looking good so far. I can’t seem to figure out how the bracket installs? Does anyone have a diagram for this?

Just started working. No HMI! Do I have to route through the radio?

Just realized I have a older style console with only one plug neighboring the 16-pin. It’s going into a 2018 w/o a 120v. Does that mean I’ll have to trim a USB cable and lead it from brown to black on the HMI?

Looks like 19303285/84022323 is still hard to get, couldn't a generic 3ft male to male mini USB work? Or is it female to male? https://www.amazon.com/CablesOnline-Mini-B-5-Pin-Cable-USB2-5503/dp/B00T28JQUG/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=mini+usb+male+to+male&qid=1566242874&s=electronics&sr=1-3

So is the bracket not necessary for installation? My console came with a bracket (from Ebay) and I have no problem screwing it in, but wont if it doesn't add much.
