  1. I gotta get some of that!... just because the name is so cool
  2. I appreciate all of the inputs and opinions. Like most things, everyone has their own preference, nobody is right or wrong. Personally, I just tried the extreme shine, makes the truck look a little to “plastic” for me. I do however like my tires to look black and clean, so next I’m going to try the satin finish and/or the wipe off technique. A rich black clean uniform color is my goal. Time to buy some products! Thanks all
  3. Do ya or don't ya?
  4. If they quoted $1000 they are ripping you off unless you were getting other work done as well.
  5. Ordered some AMP Xtreme steps, had a gift card. The dealer is replacing my steps, so I told him to leave the new ones in the box....so I'll be selling those next week!
  6. Which bug shield deal is that, looks super discreet.
  7. Oil change, and the dreaded brake software update... installed a DU-HA under seat storage, massive amount of storage
  8. Better ride all around. takes the spine twist out of uneven rough terrain and the front end feels more seated cornering on a fast smooth curve. More refined and predictable.
  9. Yes, had a friend install them at his shop. I’m sure a lot of guys here have done it in the driveway tho. Those springs scream let someone who knows exactly what’s he’s doing do it.
  10. Same here , the “planted” feel is a massive improvement.. do the fronts, you will be equally happy. My wife never notices mods, till we were driving thru a peach farm this weekend and she says “this truck rides so much better now.”
  11. thanks I really like them, drove all over today, around town and on bad country roads. The rear shocks really seem to cut down or in many cases eliminate the chatter, especially when accelerating over potholes or broken road. Speed bumps, much better. The front feels more stable, more confident in turns. maybe I'm paying more attention but it tracks better on curvy smooth road as well. I think it settled down just a tad, the body line just above the door handles always makes this truck appear to have a bit more rake than the measurements show.
  12. Almost 9k on this truck and I’m really enjoying it. +1 on this forum making it even more interesting. Did a few things over the last few months, installed the 5100s yesterday - which I would not have known about unless other owners posted here! (Was waiting for trailboss compatible fronts) steps are coming off next, the dealer is replacing them but I’m going to sell the new ones and install some AMPs.
  13. I’m really happy with the grapplers on the highway, noise factor is really low given their aggressive looking tread. I’ve had people tell me they’ll start “howl” after 10k miles, but I think frequent rotation helps. If I go to 35’s I was considering the Terra grappler, just because of weight and my belief that the bigger the tire the harder it is to balance. Less aggressive pattern might be better.
  14. Install done, for sure an improvement. Settles a bunch of the bunny hop tendencies and makes potholes more bearable. Feels more planted on corners for sure. The ultimate test for me is the highway road-to-bridge seam, on a curve. That's usually where it feels a bit dicey. set to 1.1 setting in the front and it's leveled out nicely. Really happy with how this turned out, thinking about putting 35"s on these wheels now.
  15. Thanks for the replies, looking forward to the install tomorrow morning.
  16. Hey guys - I just got my 5100's (front and rear) today, pretty exited about getting them installed. I noticed the front (24-309509) don't have rubber boots, and the rears appear to have a hard plastic cover vs a rubber boot. just making sure they shipped the right parts.
  17. With everything closed it’s only been out 2 or 3 times. A few runs to pick up food. The good news is that gas is down to $1.25 for 93 octane! I wish this gas tank was 35 gallons instead of 24.
  18. great looking truck, love the 6.2 as well. midnight edition always look great - add some nice interior under seat lighting, easy, not expensive.
  19. If it stays in the garage much longer, it’s going to become one with the cabinets
  20. I used the clips, I put the 3M tape on the clips and clipped them onto the bar. Then put the bar in position, made sure I had some alignment points (the center seam on the bar and the hole for the gate wire, the weld spots and those two openings) peeled off the backing and pressed on the bar where the clips are. I didn’t want to stick the whole bar on just in case it fails it would be a huge pain the butt to remove. The adhesive prep is awesome so be careful when you stick those 3M sticky pads on a prepped area. I did have to move one a tiny bit, but it worked out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Here’s a couple close ups so you can see where it sits.
  22. That’s the 60” blade with amber. They made this thing very slim, so there are no issues hitting it with the tailgate when it opens. Get the Putco wiring harness for sure. Makes installation simple and no electrical/error issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I installed the Putco blade on my 2020 HC and the gap is a lot smaller on these than the 2018 series. I was still able to mount it without removing the gate. use a little masking tape to hang the light bar while aligning it. I used the top of the spot welds as my guide. There is a group of them on each side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
