  1. How are they holding up to snow and ice ? Water and ice cascade right down the hood, I’d think you’d get a bunch of ice underneath that thing. I like the lights tho, was thinking of placing some in the grill till I saw this. i know some people are adverse to more lights, but I’m all for additional visibility especially in bad weather.
  2. Here the one I bought on Amazon.. $12 VXDAS Auto Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Relearn Reset Activation Tool OEC-T5 for GM Series Vehicle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072BK693N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_9d3pEbAJ6K777
  3. Got them Installed today, the 4C’s work just fine. Also, the tool I bought on amazon works with both the old and the new sensors. Thanks for the info
  4. There is a single wire loom from the tailgate through to the underside of the bumper. Pretty sure the motor is all inside the gate itself. The right hand side has a bolt on the shaft. There is a cutout in the hinge cup. I don’t think the right side moves at all, it must pivot inside the gate on that side. If it ever gets warmer I’m going to take the gate off to install a Putco light bar. I’ll take some pics.
  5. I paid about 1050 for the kit and had a buddy (master mechanic at a dealer) install it.
  6. Center console...if you have the jump seat you’re going to want to run the wires down the door sills...also not hard just a few more steps.
  7. No worries, I really like these lights. The tiny remote works well or you can use the app. Normally leave them on low brightness red..great for night. But if I lose something under the seat, or I’m searching for tools, I can hit the button and get really bright white.
  8. I used Govee Dreamcolor led lights for the footwell front and back. While they suggest running the wires down the door sills, I used the console instead. So I ran a switch power wire from the passenger side fuse box (there is a spade connector open there) under the glove box, then tucked it up inside the center console and ran all the way to the back. Then pop the cup holder out of the back of the console, take out a couple screws and you can remove the rear of the console where the vents are. Very easy. I mounted the led controller on a flat surface inside there, and ran the power into the center console thru the led that’s already inside. From there I grabbed a ground from the bolt in the bottom of the console, and mounted a aux power port there. Bonus was I got 2 usb power, cig socket and on off switch. That allowed me to plug in the led lights cig power in. The lights are hardwired together, so just slide the light bars into the seat cover straps and secure with a zip tie. The wires is just long enough to place all four. Under the dash and the glove box I used both the peel and stick and a couple zip ties too. You can do all of this without taking apart the sills etc. power port Linkstyle 4 in 1 Charger Socket Panel, QC 3.0 12V Dual USB Car Socket & LED Digital Voltmeter & Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter & LED Lighted ON Off Rocker Toggle Switch for Truck Car Marine Boat RV https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T94DF95/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_A-cpEbR4K37G8 lights Govee Dreamcolor Car Interior Lights with APP and IR Remote, Upgraded 2-in-1 Design 4PCS 72 LEDs Interior Car Lights, DIY Color LED Lighting Kits Sync to Music with Super Length Wires for Various Car https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XQ2QBJ7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_padpEbB2BEEFV
  9. Truck looks sharp de badged for sure, nice
  10. Just thought this might be useful information for others. I had a set of aftermarket wheels on my 2018 truck and put them on my 2020. Turns out those TPMS sensors won’t work with the 2020 HC. So I went about searching for the right ones to replace. I found GM part number 13516165 on multiple online sites and ordered a set. The seller (sourceoneautoparts) put a note in the box, saying to give them a call before spending money in installation just in case. So I called and the very helpful person said to call the dealer to find the right part as the 2020 wasn’t in his database. I called my dealer and they said my truck actually uses GM part number 13528563. they were happy to take the return, but I thought I’d give these a try anyway. Guess what, they registered to the truck first try. So it appears both part numbers would work. The dealer wanted $52 each for the 13528563, and I bought the 13516165 online for $18 each. Pays to give it a try.
  11. You can, but if you ever add anything else up there, you'll have the wire, you can always cut that end off. I just tucked it up inside just in case. They do sell one that's a few bucks cheaper that doesn't have the RJ11 wire, so you can get what you're looking for. Took about a week to arrive.
  12. black on red always looks great, nice
  13. Sure. Gen5Diy.com sells a pre-made harness that taps into the mirror. Pop open the shell, plug this in and you get an RJ11 to power things like radar detectors and a 12v line. I purchased a 12v to USB adapter (bunch on amazon, this one is EDOtech). I'm powering a nexar and it works great - although I'm thinking of upgrading to the think ware camera instead. Any way, just take your time and the plastic center pops out, then gently take the shell off the mirror mount. There are a couple youtube's on this, it's easy. It's great not having any cables hanging down. Add a blend mount and put your favorite radar detector up there too, many use those Rj11 phone type connectors.
  14. It was just above freezing so finally gave it a hand wash. Also trimmed the mud guards, had a little rub at full lock on both sides. Also added the Gen5diy mirror tap and setup a dash cam. Gave up on the upper dash tray power idea for now, I'll mess with that in the summer. I put an Amazon auto in the console, works great - wanted it up top, but this was easy.
  15. those running boards look great with the bed liner finish
  16. Seriously ! I bought a couple of direct wire 12v usb devices, one that is a single USB port and another that provides a mini usb for a dash cam. About $10 on Amazon. Also ordered the Gen5diy tap for the mirror power, but it ships usps slow motion mail, so who knows when it will arrive. That has an RJ11 connector for a radar detector and a 12v wire set. so I’ll put the mirror tap in and power dash cam and have the option of putting another usb/or 12v device up on the overhead console. still doesn’t solve the dash tray issue though. Does anyone have a parts diagram of the upper dash or know where I might find one?
  17. Nice ride, I looked at a red trail boss, it literally glows. They did a good job with color depth in the paint. Im hoping someone comes up with a tech document on that tray, but my trim tool is calling my name...may do some surgery this week.
  18. Uh oh, I can’t be the only one that wants to see what’s under that tray ? Has anyone else removed it ?
  19. The wrap looks great! thinking about doing the lower chrome area around the fogs and recovery hooks on my truck.
  20. I want to mount an amazon auto in the upper dash tray area. It's the perfect spot for one, so that got me thinking a couple of USB ports would be cool too. Has anyone taken that tray out, found any good spots for tapping into switched power ? (or a route to the passenger side fuse box). thanks
  21. Before and after pics, need to get some tiny spacers to put my other wheels/tires on so here it is with the 20" stock setup.
  22. Getting the GM kit installed this weekend, here’s the before pic. So far really liking the 6.2 but it needs it little lift.
  23. Apple CarPlay screen is crazy bright in my truck as well, I always have to turn down brightness to use CarPlay at night. Overall the system does work pretty well, BUT when you are in CarPlay mode, the automatic display of cameras during parking etc doesn’t work. The system should flip back to the GM camera page but it doesn’t.
  24. My 2020 High Country with 1400 miles on it has just started doing same thing, loud squeak backing out of the garage,. Last week it was only backing up that made it squeak, now it’s doing it in drive as well. Seems to go away after some driving, but it’s painfully loud sometimes in parking garages etc. turns heads for sure, going to the dealer next week to see what they can do. Weak sauce if this was a problem that started in 2019 models, not to have a fix.
