  1. I really need some guidance This is kind of long, but I am so frustrated with the way things are going. A month ago my transmission started shifting very rough from 1st to 2nd and back again, now it had been doing it for way too long just not that bad, so I brought in to a shop to be looked at. I was told it was a bulging situation and it would have to be rebuilt. It was rebuilt ($4,500) and I was told to bring it back in two weeks for a check up... day 13 after a couple of errands I start up the truck and its running rough and the check engine light is blinking. I bring it in for the check up and engine light, they tell me it needs a tune up (plugs, wires, and ignition coils $!,050) and we proceed and have it done. I drove it home, all is good, it sat for a day, and the following day I ran some arrands and the same problem arises again. I am now told it's a bad injector... OK replace it... doesn't work (no charge since the tune up didn't fix the problem) and they now think its a computer problem. Two computers from the junk yard don't take, now a computer from the dealership ($500+$178 programing) installed truck runs for a couple of pit stops and the same problem happens again, so back to the shop. It's another injector failure, I say replace the remaining five and be done with it. While working on the injectors they break a harness clip and order a replacement harness and once installed, with the five remaining injectors they give me my truck back (no charge) and before I can make it home it happens, yet, again. Bring it in now they think the rest of the injector harness' are bad and they are replaced (after shipping the wrong one and shipping delays $150) and once again a half a mile later all the same symptoms return. Now I take it to the dealership just to get this over with, they scan the computer and discuss the situation with management, and tell me they won't touch it, because of all the work that's been done by LCT, they don't want to get involved. They hand me the printout and I return to the shop and he tells me that is the same codes he pulls up and takes it back in. Now I am told the main harness needs to be re wrapped. This has been over three weeks. Has anyone had a similar experience that I can draw from to get this rectified? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
  2. Ok, I asked the shop that was working on my truck and got an answer: The resistor is not a part of the blower motor and is located behind the dash, the book time is a four hour job and I was quoted $650. No wonder there are zero vids for the repair and little info out there about it.
  3. Just put my 2014 in, going to be $1500 - $4500 depending. I was told they were notorious for this kind of failure.
  4. Thank you that explains a lot! Nothing I found searching, or videos I watched said that.
  5. Thanks for the vid it is a totally different set up. I have watched a lot of videos but none have the model and year that I have.
  6. First of all I am not a mechanic, I am just trying to save some money, and I am replacing my blower fan and resistor. I have watched some youtube vids and replaced the blower but I can not find the resistor. Can someone, please point me in the right direction?
