  1. Hahaha yea. You have to prove you can do it or they won’t even ship it to you.
  2. Fair enuff, but really the only things I tune are these.
  3. Yeah I know a lot of people go that route but I’ve never been into the tuning thing. Tried the pedal commander only because when it’s unplugged it’s gone. And now trying this to see what difference it makes in how the truck behaves w/o dropping to/from V4 all the time. But again only because when it’s unplugged it’s gone. My mods usually stop shot of altering the computers haha.
  4. Picked up a Range AFM to try out.
  5. Last 2. First one is just the open bed, 2nd one is under the tonneau. Oh, also don't spill your beer during all of this!!!
  6. sorry here's the rest... had to shrink my photo sizes.
  7. ok so i finally got that harness and got around to adding the 2 OEM LED bed lights to the front end of the bed. (In retrospect i probably could have asked Phil to make the 2 pigtails, but not sure if it would have been worth it to him or me... the whole harness for the bed lighting (OEM) was only $29 and i cut what i needed and it worked out perfectly.). anywhozzle it came out great and i think i AM gonna buy 2 more of the super bright Amazon ones i posted a while back... so i got the harness, an electrical fish tape that i have (key not just for mods like this but if you're a home owner in gen.) now, i soldered the wires, as i prefer that but you could probly use T-taps if you want... its under the bed rails so not really gonna see weather esp if you have a topper or a tonneau. Installed the lights in the flats spots at the front of the bed first, similar to the spot they're in at the back but they dont have raised sections and holes... i used self-tapping screws and it seems fine. a little patience needed getting up under the bed rail. Then i fished the harness thru from the light to the back where i was gonna splice, plugged in the front lights and drilled 1 hole to add one of those plastic harness retainers. pulled the existing circuit out of the wire loom, and the first pair i just cut and soldered them all, wrapped with tape (and in the open end i just put a little silicone... probly overkill tho.) tucked them back into the loom and taped that up, and pushed it back into the bed rail and plugged it back in. on the driver's side i decided to just strip the existing wires and splice in, it was a little cleaner. taped, pushed into the loom and the bed rail and plugged back in, tested and it looks great (these are the old OEM 2-LED at the front currently)
  8. Yessir, weird that the website didn’t show as a link in my first post. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ anyways this link will take you to the 2018 gmc page. (But it’s the same for K2’s and you can just hit change vehicle for whatever on there too. Free shipping and free bracket clips too! (Use the code they list at the top.). it may actually default to no vehicle selected too. Not sure. https://brakeperformance.com/all-products.php This is them all burned-in.
  9. Got three wheels done today, last one tomorrow morning. The caliper bracket bolts on these things are crazy torqued! 170lbs-ft in the front and 148lbs-ft in the back. Not alotta room in there for leverage. Anyways, went with some dimpled and slotted black zinc coated rotors (lifetime guarantee against warping and cracking) and ceramic pads from brakeperformance.com
  10. I think it’s like cactus and cacti, 1 Prius, 2 Prii.
  11. Yeah I took their numbers and compared it to the place I normally use for brake parts and I can save $300 doin it myself amd that’s with some nice slotted/dimpled rotors and premium pads. so I’m def doin that. And as for the rear calipers while they’re off I was gonna clean em better than I typically do, give em new hardware and check the pins etc. for just that reason. good point tho. That could get rid of the noise. and thx cajunfries. Haha seems like a dum question now, but when ordering my parts with my year it asked me to choose “with BBK or w/o BBK” but they phrased it weird. Haha thanks again guys!
  12. Took her in for an oil change and tire rotation (which i normally do myself but) had them check out a funky brake pedal noise (sounded like under the truck at drive thru's, not the pedal, plus my fluid has looked slightly low.) So need rotors and pads all around, (not a shocker or a huge deal) but turns out the noise is the rear calipers are freezing so i guess thats making the noise when the system releases but the calipers don't? idk. anyways i'm doing the rotors and pads myself and then i'll have the dealer do the calipers and a proper line flush. Question tho... can i tell whether i have the regular 6-piston or the "big brake 6-piston" brakes just by looking at them? or by RPO code? truck is an '18 All-Terrain SLT Premium Plus. Thanks for any info, peeps, in advance! Edit: it looks like if it's NOT the "Big Brake" kit then its only a 4-piston caliper... is that right? and then in that case i WOULD be able to tell just by looking. haha. sorry for the possible false alarm haha.
  13. Been lookin at some of the bed light threads. I have the factory ones and they’re LED, but nothing really bright. And I have a swing case which blocks a lot of that light on the drivers side. Found these things on the Amazons and they are an 18 led version of our oem (2 led) ones. Oem are on the left in the pic. Only $20 tho and they got here in a day. NDRUSH LED Truck Bed Light, Clear... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MQ8WVWV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Tuff to tell in the daylight but this is with the passenger side installed and driver still Oem with the swing case out of the way. WAY brighter. They fit perfectly, both the space, screw holes AND the factory pigtail plugs in and clicks nice and snug. You just reuse the two 7mm screws already in there. My ultimate plan is to get a couple more of these factory plugs and install the oem ones further toward the front and splice them on. But for $20 I may just buy another set of the Amazon ones and ditch the oem altogether. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll do the oem add on first. Finding the factory connectors is gonna be a yotch tho. Might have to buy the whole harness just to get those.
  14. I HATE this stupid thing!!! I just bought a new one because i thought there might be something wrong with the old one, but nope... Same thing keeps happening. definitely seems like the only way to "fix" it is to get lucky with it snapping in right... such a crappy design for such a simple thing.
  15. Got the new ones today. same exact thing happens to it... everytime i lift the lower seat up it pops off the metal frame its connected to. i feel like it's just not seated in there correctly... but the only time the 2 pieces fall apart is when i'm messin with it trying to get the damn thing back in place. frustrationizing!!! Literally nothing on the interwebs about, so I'll probaly have my dealer explain it to me next time I take 'er in.
  16. Ok so they’re not all like that. That is a relief. Hahah. I was actually thinking about super gluing them, but I’ll def try another one first. Thx, I’ll go grab the pahhht numbah.
  17. Fought with this stupid thing for the 1000th time after putting the seat up and back down to get something out of the storage bin. Is there anything you guys have done to this “part” to keep it from lifting and splitting EVERY gd time you lift the seat bottom up???
  18. yeah, but it's wikkkkkid fun, tho.
  19. hahah i love it! See, unlike on TV, how it really works here is we say R's when they're an elbow, not a hand. You need an elbow to have a hand, but you don't need a hand to have an elbow. So like if the word has an r at the beginning or in the middle we say it: "Really guy, don't worry about it, it wont be that haaahhhhd." But if it's at the end, we only say it if the NEXT word stahhhts with a vowel. "Ahhh the keys to the caaah downstayaz?" "Ahhh the keys to the car up stayas?" And sometimes we even ADD an r to the end of a word if it ends with a vowel and AND the next one also stahhhts with a vowel. "Hey, you guys want pizzer up theyah?" "Go call auntie (Lisa) Liser and tell her weeeeh comin ovah laytah."
  20. haha there's a hint of that in all of us up heeeyah, whethah we admit it or not.
  21. Hahaa well if we’re getting technical, the other end is “wicked faaahhh” away.
  22. Oh crap!!!!! I had no idea if my own incrimination!! I was even proud that I didn’t take the picture whilst driving but my son, the impressionable new driver in 3 months took it.
