Hello everyone, Hope all is well. I have a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. The truck has software build number V805.1. I know there are newer software versions, but when in for a servicing at the dealer, I asked the advisor to check for an update. Upon completion the advisor informed me there are no updates for my truck. I told him I understand there are newer versions, but he said the updates are VIN specific and there are no new updates for my truck!? I’m having difficulty with the radio randomly being on upon startup and/or at a louder volume than left off upon prior shut down. What is the newest software version for our trucks, and how can I go about getting same? Please advise. Thank you very much! My best.

Hello everyone, Hope all is well. 1. My 2020 Colorado is running software version 805. I understand that software version 807 has been available for some time. When I connect the truck to WiFi and check for updates, it states ‘no updates available’; I’ve tried several times. How do I go get the latest software version (without having to go to the dealer)? And what is the latest software version anyway, 807 or 809? 2. The info display within the instrument cluster in front of the driver does not recall the last screen / page it was on upon shutdown upon the following startup. I have a 2019 of the same exact truck that does in fact recall the last screen. I like to keep it on Navigation, as it’s the most useful screen / page to me. What do I have to do to have the info display always recall the last screen it was on upon shutdown? 3. Upon startup of the truck, the radio is on, even though I turned if off upon shutdown. This should not be happening. The system should recall its last state. What gives? Note this does not relate to ‘maximum startup volume’, as this setting would simply limit the volume upon startup if you had the volume higher upon shutdown. 3. How to I have the truck stop keeping track of ‘last parked location’ under recents in the navigation system? If I were to be carjacked, I wouldn’t want thieves having this information. Yes, would be the least of my concerns, but I’d still rather not have the truck save this information unnecessarily, and I don’t understand why the factory would program it as a default. 2020 ZR2 with the same problem. Dealer states normal, which is BS. Ticking noise upon startup for 30-60 seconds. Had a 2019 that didn’t do this. Can someone please help with a solution? Please advise. My best.

After updating to 807 and replacing the SD Card and card receptacle, GM now wants to replace the radio control module, which requires two visits, one where they need to get the number off the current unit and another to replace same. I want them to go to back to 509, the last known working version which had no problem at all. Has anyone been successful in getting a dealer to go back to an earlier software version? Any other updates anyone? Please provide the latest status. Thank you.

Is the 'patch' actually the software update from 805 to 807, or is it something else? Thank you for all this info, but sounds like you're still experiencing problems. Have you asked them about the SD Card Removed message still showing? If so, what have they said? How long does it take after the error message displays until you're able to use the navigation system? Does the screen freeze / go black and the system reboot at all? Thanks again; I appreciate all your help. My best.

Hi Andrew, So your SD Card Removed problem has been resolved? Can you please give us a break down of your whole matter and which vehicle you have. My 2019 Colorado ZR2 had ZERO problems on what I believe was software version 509. Did an over the air update at home to 805 and the SD Card Removed error started happening. Often had to drive without NAV, which was annoying, as I specifically wanted a NAV truck. Dealer did an update to 807 and the problems became worse with the system freezing, going black and restarting frequently. They now want to replace the SD Card receptacle (jack/cable). Can you please give a complete, detailed break down of what you did and how you got them to finally fix yours. Do you have any problems at all now with your infotainment system? I'm concerned with what you wrote: "it only messes up sometimes". Please explain. Thanks so much.
