  1. Funny thing is my 2019 LT Z71 came over inflated also by around 10 pounds and it felt super bumpy until I bumped the pressure down to what the door sticker said. Maybe a couple PSI below. My 2020 RST Z71 came about 10 pounds over give or take and it felt like riding on clouds, when I bumped down the pressure to the door sticker numbers it seems a little more bouncy but not as bad as the 2019. I heard they firmed up the shocks on the 2020's vs the 2019's. But not too sure which way is up and which way is down right now lol. May just leave them near what the door sticker says and just keep on trucking! lol
  2. Yes, makes perfect sense. I will just run the factory PSI, as you mentioned there is a reason for the values on the sticker in the first place. I may play around with adding a couple of PSI over, but I understand I do so at my own risk. I employ defensive driving techniques every time I hit the road. I leave plenty of space between the vehicle in front of me (and behind me to the extent I can control) and always try to drive to the conditions of the road. I highly doubt that a few PSI would be the determining factor in an accident, at least not the sole factor. So I think I'm going to stick as close to the sticker as I can while trying to bump it up a couple PSI to see if the comfort increases any, if not I'll drop it back down. That is if I ever feel like breaking out the compressor to air up the tires. May put it off for a while lol.
  3. I set the cold PSI to the door sticker. Both me and my fiancee agree that the ride is a little bit more bouncy now. Does this seem right or is that in our heads? lol Felt like riding on a cloud when the were set higher. Debating on leaving them to factory setting or airing them up a bit more. What do you think? You think as long as I keep a 3 PSI difference it would be OK to raise the pressure up a bit?
  4. illuminating Bow-tie installed, dealer sticker delete, tow hitch cover installed. Other than that stock. Going to be ordering some Amp Power running boards (for the family) and exhaust next. Hopefully soon :-).
  5. Probably just coincidence but my 2019 3 vin was made in mexico. It was an LT Z71 Crew cab Texas Edition. My 2020 RST Z71 was a 1vin. It's also a crew cab All Star Edition. Was a 6.2L vs the 2019 5.3.
  6. Thanks, I should have mentioned this is the cold PSI. Truck had been sitting for over 24 hours. Checked again just right now (truck hasn't been driven and it's 5:30 AM) I also made sure to refresh the app so it would pull the current values.
  7. Picked up a 2020 6.2L RST Z71 All Star, Leather, Sunroof, etc... on Monday. Noticed the PSI in the app was higher than the door sticker. Thought the ride was going to be bouncy as my LT would bounce more when I had over 35 PSI. Drove fine on the 500 mile trip home. Should I correct the PSI or just send it?
  8. Just drove my new 2020 home. About a 500 mile/9 hour trip from Tulsa OK to San Antonio Texas. Now it is home sweet home. Now the fun begins...
  9. Thanks. Truck made it from Tulsa OK to San Antonio TX. Home sweet home now. Definitely needs and upgrade in the exhaust department lol.
  10. How's the Atak during normal driving or road trips?
  11. So which one is better between S-type and Atak. I want a low mean rumble. Worried the S-type will be to quite and the Atak will be too loud lol. 6.2L if that matters.
  12. I want the deepest/meanest sound I can get. I had a Black Widow Venom 250 on my 2019 5.3L and the tone was good just wish it was a bit louder. Picking up a 2020 6.2L RST on Monday. Should I go with S-Type or Atak? Worried S-Type will be too quite and ATAK will be too loud lol.
  13. To be honest with you I don't even own a tow hitch or trailer. I also wanted the 6.2 for the fun factor and because I wanted the 10-speed. Figured I plan to keep the truck around 10 years so the SPG (Smiles Per Gallon) were more important than the MPG.
  14. How much more are you expecting to get off? Sounds like a decent amount of discount. Not the greatest deal in the world but not too bad. If I remember correctly I got $9113 off my 2020 RST 6.L and was happy with the deal. If your already worrying about the MPG maybe you should analyze how much the truck is going to cost you and if the extra cost would be worth it to you. Like take the number of miles you drive and figure out how much extra you will be spending given the loss in MPG plus the fact that Premiun fuel is highly recommended. For me the cost will be about $500 a year at the most given current gas prices and overestimating the miles I drive and overestimating the difference in reggie and premium (used $1.00 as my overestimation). I don't drive a whole lot and the $500 a year will not really be missed lol. Just my thoughts.
  15. Financed for 41K 14 months and 12K miles ago. Givemethvin gave me $40,250 (first offer was like 38K, but they beat Carvana's offer by a couple hundred bucks). According to one dealer I talked to they told me the truck had a net retail value of $39.5K brand new lol.
  16. Well if you aren't upside down or not too much upside down it won't be so bad. I think I'm just going to send it! Lol
  17. Funny you say that. I just downloaded this insurance quote comparison app called Jerry. Shows progressive being $30 a month cheaper for me with loan payoff insurance (everything else equal). I'd lose out on the mechanical breakdown insurance but I think it may be worth it. Going to look more into it.
  18. You from the US? Usually dealers pressure you into buying GAP insurance at the end of every deal.
  19. Thanks for the info. So can I buy gap from my credit union if they offer it even if my truck is financed with someone else? Sounds like it's definitely worth a shot.
  20. Well I had a 2019, drove it for a 14 months and 12K miles and got paid pretty much the same amount I originally financed it for. Financed at 41K and change, received an offer for $40, 250. My car depreciated less than $1000 in a year and I had 7K equity in it. Lol doubt insurance would have valued it like givemethevin did though lol. So not a good example I suppose, some strange times we are living in.
  21. My insurance provider is GEICO and it looks like they don't offer it. Can I have insurance for auto and one for GAP? The reason is I don't want to switch insurance because GEICO also has Mechanical Breakdown Insurance for cheaper than extended warranty from the dealer. I wish I could know now if I would be upside down or not. That's why I posted the numbers. I figured someone would be able to tell me. I drive 12K miles or less a year. Don't want to shell out if I won't be upside down. Or if it won't be by more than a few K that I could just pay if that were to happen.
  22. Well how do I know this value? How will I know this value in 6 months? 1 year? Etc. KBB doesn't even list the RST or 6.2L as an option from what I saw.
  23. Thanks! I've never driven a 6.2L ever. Honestly my 2019 had a rough downshift once in a while and wasn't a huge deal but when I saw the offers from carvana and givemethevin were giving me what I started my loan at 14 months ago and 12K miles ago I figured might as well get something I feel would last longer. Supposedly the 10 speed is sweet. Everyone talks about the 6.2L being one of the greatest things on earth and I'm a "car guy" so who doesn't want more powa!!! I actually don't even own a tow hitch... haha. Hopefully that will change one day, so just in case I'll be prepared :-).
