  1. Removed the factory oil today at a whopping 1300 miles. I usually do it sooner for the first change lol.
  2. Just put the same thing in my 6.2L today. Supposed to be good stuff!
  3. Hydrodipped Carbon Fiber Pattern exhaust valence/tips installed. Very happy with the outcome. Only time will tell how they hold up but fingers crossed.
  4. Installed my Amp Research PowerSteps yesterday. Also got my tips back from Salt Lake Hydrographics.
  5. $1338 with free shipping and no taxes from truckandgear.com. installed myself so saved some change for sure. Got quoted $1800 out the door after taxes at the cheapest shop I called.
  6. Well I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I called Amp Research and explained what happened. I complained about the lack of packing material and was told that's just how it is. They ship them with either paper or plastic. No foam or anything like that. Dude told me I could go through warranty. Was pretty indifferent about it. I figured just replacing the boards under warranty and pushing ahead with my install was the easiest thing for me rather than going through the refund process with the reseller. I'm pretty satisfied with that. So I'm a happy camper for now. I'll get ready to queue up some curse words for the install process though :-).
  7. Didn't even make it on the truck! ? Sorry for the low quality photos. I used the thumbnail pic from Google photos so I could upload several pics. I was too lazy to resize the original pics. I'm pretty ticked off that Amp Research doesn't put ANY foam in the shipping box. They expect a thin layer of saran wrap type plastic to protect these steps. Thinking about not ordering again as I have no faith in these steps making it here.
  8. I have some good news and some bad news...if anyone is listening...*crickets chirping* No? Ok then I will let you know anyway. Good News: I got the steps in. Bad News: Dents. I am not going to lie I am kind of ticked off that Amp Research does not put any Styrofoam in the box to protect the steps. They expect the steps to be protected in shipping by what is basically saran wrap wrapped around the steps.
  9. I bought my 6.2L RST Z71, All Star, Leather, Sunroof, Safety, Convinence I & II for $9100 off MSRP about 6 weeks ago. What I did is go to chevrolet.com and search the inventory and follow the link to the dealers site for the current rebates and dealer discount and I must have called 20 dealers but I found one I wanted at the price I wanted. Flights were $79 if you planned it a week out. So that's what I did. Luckily the truck I found was only 550 miles away.
  10. Wow, I got a UPS My Choice alert that said I had a 70 pound package coming from a local automotive drop shipping company with a delivery estimate of tomorrow. I'll post an update tomorrow.
  11. Also found this Google page. Looks legit :-)! https://g.co/kgs/DhNywR
  12. I would just get a Borla CrateMuffler. I got the Atak CrateMuffler for $250. According to Borla they are only made for Crate engines like small block Chevy 350 and 383 but it sounds great to me and no drone. Cold start is loud but other than that it quiets down quiet a bit. No drone and very tame on the highway and even in the city unless you punch it a little.
  13. I see that they also sell WeatherTech products like floor mats & Cargo liners. They list themselves as a authorized dealer. I searched Google for an authorized dealer list but the first thing that caught my eye was the unauthorized dealer list. I did not find them on the unauthorized list so I called up WeatherTech and asked and they verified they are indeed an authorized retailer. I guess I will assume truckandgear.com is legit until I find out otherwise. https://www.weathertech.com/service/unauthorized-dealers/
  14. Did you buy the regular ones or the XL? I just ordered mine today and will also be installing them myself.
  15. Yes, Yesterday I got an agent named "Anthony" whom I asked if their site was legit and told him I was interested in the Amp PowerSteps. He assured me they were a legit site (of course he would say that...) and said they had the steps in stock and would take 3-5 days for delivery once shipped out. I guess I will be the Guinea pig :-). I looked up the website reputation on several different sites and it showed it had a good reputation but low traffic. If I remember correctly it said the site or domain name has been around since 2018. I find it kind of odd I haven't heard of them before but figured since I used paypal, worst case scenario I should be entitled to my money back should something fishy happen.
  16. Best price I've found the Amp PowerStep Running Board at...https://truckandgear.com/amp-research/amp-8633-76254-01a.html $1338.91 with no taxes and free shipping! $200 cheaper than Amazon after taxes. Needless to say I pulled the trigger and used my PayPal account to pay in case in any issues arise, but figured I would check if anyone has ordered from them before.
  17. I think the part is called a cowl cover cap? I noticed today it looked really dull and white looking. I wash my truck like once a week and it sits under my carport lol. Has anyone else noticed that? Is this how it is supposed to look or is this normal? I tried putting some aerospace 303 on it and some Armorall general purpose cleaner stuff. Didn't help any lol. Truck is a 2020 Silverado RST, bought the truck about 6 weeks ago and has just over 1K miles on it.
  18. Do you not have this on your glass? Rear side windows 20%, rear glass 22% +-3%. Easier to read from the inside hence the reason it is backwards. Excuse my dirty truck, going to wash it after work today lol.
  19. Ok, I lied. One more cold start video.
  20. Ok, last video for now. Cold start with resonators deleted a few light revs. Phone audio doesn't do it justice. The revs sounded so loud and mean. Guess it's a little too much for the mic lol.
  21. Got the resonators removed. Sounds a little deeper/meaner to me. Only got the truck up to 50 on the access road but it's crazy how quiet it gets at that speed. Will have to take it on the highway anothrer day but so far no done! Loving it!
  22. First cold start with the new muffler. Full disclosure, the muffler is only halfway welded in, the shop ran out out of gas for the welder! Told me to go back today, oh well, not a big deal to me. I haven't even paid yet lol. Was going to remove the resonators but not 100% sure as I'm loving the way it sounds currently.
  23. Very Nice, I wanted to do this but the muffler shop wanted too much. I forget the exact number for muffler delete I think it was $200, I know for muffler and resonator delete they wanted $300. Needless to say I went to another shop, but decided I would just throw in a muffler while I was at it. This is the Borla CrateMuffler ATAK, the shop I went to ran out of gas for the welder, so the muffler is halfway welded on and my resonators are still there. I'm almost thinking of keeping the resonators now but I can't decide lol.
  24. So I just ordered this muffler yesterday. I called Borla to ask them if I should remove the resonator or leave it and they told me this muffler was designed for crate engines and is not the correct muffler for my truck. Seems some ppl just swap this muffler and it sounds virtually the same to them as the catback system. Anyone on here do this yet? I have a 2020 6.2L RST and since I already ordered this I figured I'm going to just swap the muffler, delete the flaps and send it! What do you think? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01CO4K694?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
