I have a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with 42,311 miles. I started hearing a humming sound during acceleration starting at 45 mph. I took my truck to the GMC dealership. The diagnosis was that I need a rear differential rebuild. July 28, 2025, I had a rear pinion seal that was replaced because of differential fluid leaking and engine oil cooler lines replaced. I have a warranty with Ally Premier Protection Major Guard Policy. I dropped my truck of January 13, 2026 (Tuesday night). As of today, January 22, 2026, my differential claim with Ally hasn't been approved. The latest update this morning from my GMC service advisor was that Ally emailed and wanted to know if GMC could get a complete rear axle. GMC doesn't offer complete rear axles, they just rebuild them. My truck has been grounded for 9 days, and I still don't have an approval for the claim or a rental car. Has anyone else had to deal with a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT warranty repair that has moved this slow and taken so long? Frustrated doesn't begin to explain how I feel about this process.
