  1. Sorry about the duplicate post as I posted in the wrong section. My tailgate opens and closes fine with the button on the tailgate. It opens from the switch on the dash and the remote, but will not auto close. The owners manual says take it to the dealer to get it corrected. Does anyone know the procedure to reset that function? Seems like it should be an easy fix.

  3. I had this problem again yesterday and doing the refresh did not resolve the problem. So far the only option I have found is to shut off the truck and wait until retained power has shut down. Restart and it works again for a while.
  4. I have had this problem numerous times. Last Friday I had it again and I drove about 50 miles and it never came back on. Maybe if we have xm send a refresh signal to our receiver it might work again. I put this URL in my phone browser so the next time it happens I will try it. Obviously GM needs to fix the problem. https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefresh_view.action#/refreshradio
  5. I agree, what were they thinking, a four pin connector in the bed! It will never be used. They should have the 7 pin and camera connections at both places and delete the 4 pin altogether. I use a 7 -4 pin adapter when I tow a trailer without brakes.
  6. What GM should have done is eliminate the 4 pin connector in the bed and installed the camera ports there also. If you can have two 7 pin connectors you surely can have two camera ports. Most of us have a 7-4 pin adapter plug to solve that problem. Solves the problem for 5th wheel and bumper pull also.
  7. You will probably get more than 30 opinions. This kind of thread brings out the worst in people. For what its worth, I use Shell Rotella T6 in my truck, tractor and motorcycle.
  8. i have the same issue, pretty annoying. I also sometime get the message, "Satellite signal lost.. Attemping to reconnect..." The dealer never saw it happen but I showed them the picture on my phone. Their story was, you must have been blocking the receiver by being in a garage or behind a building. With this error on the screen to only way I have found to get it to work is to stop and power down the truck until the retained power is shut down. At next start the error does not return but the XM audio problem is still there. If the dealer can't make it happen or see the problem, you don't have a problem.
  9. Where are the instructions located that shows the dimensions you quoted. I have searched and searched and can not find them. It looks like es2020hd is looking at some printed instructions. Based on your measurements I will not be able to get the transparent view to work as the camera would interfere with an outside storage door.
  10. I just received my camera kit. The installation looks pretty straight forward, however there were no instructions included. The camera placement is what I am most interested and mounting ideas.
  11. Looking at the wiring schematic it looks like switch 5 is dedicated to the roof beacon. The others are user configurable. Attached are the installation instructions. Joe UI Bulletin 153_wip.pdf
  12. I have an upfitter kit that came with new 2020 Silverado 2500HD truck. I would be willing to part with it as I don't ever plan on putting a plow on it. Joe
