Thank you for the reply. everything has been looked at on coolant locations, im an old mechanic from the good days with not all the B/S that is on the car now days. LOL i do have a leak around the driver side motor mount, not enough to see it dripping. i guess the only thing to do would be take the exhaust manifold off and investigate. LOL

Hello all, i have a 09 Silverado 5.3 i been having a coolant smell on the driver side of the truck for years, never seen a leak till i change the oil. looks like the leak is by the driver side motor mount dripping onto my oil cooler lines then down on the front pumpkin. did a pressure test on it but can t see it leaking. is there a freeze plug behind the motor mount ??
