  1. The Diablo sport (and all other tuners currently on the market) does not work on the new body style Silverados. It only works on the LD/Legacy edition.
  2. That’s not a flapper in that picture, it’s the resonator for the 5.3L V8. Moreover, if you’re going with this muffler (magnaflow 11229) on the 6.2L V8, do NOT cut off both flappers unless you want to drive yourself batshit having a helicopter flying under your truck at any speed over 35...
  3. I'm lost. I have the Opt7 kit fully wired in. Connected the accessory wire to the grey wire (dome light) on the driver side. I tried every spade connector on the passenger fuse box. There's one that's RAP and a few others that are always hot. I want the lights to come on when I open the door or the dome light comes on. With the RAP power, it only comes on if the vehicle is on. With the always hot connections, the lights stay on constantly. There has to be a spot in the fuse box that's door/dome activated... I love the lights but I need a way for them to come on with the dome/door without running all of the power off of that 24 gauge grey wire on the plug...
  4. Awesome, thank you sir! That's what I thought, just wanted to confirm with someone who's already done it. Another question, where the hell did you mount your LED strips under the dash? I just realized there's not a nice flat place to mount them like there was on my 2012 Tahoe. Just a very crooked metal bar. Interested to see where you put them
  5. If one image on another forum is correct it should be the 3rd wire in on the white plug under the driver side dash (the plug closest to the driver seat). However, I want to confirm before I tap, as I hate tapping these wires and there are multiple grey wires in that plug...
  6. I purchased an Opt7 Footwell Light kit that I'm going to install in the 2019 Silverado. I have been following a few threads on how to install the lights, and have gotten the basic install down for me to be able to control them remotely, however, I cannot figure out the door light feature. Does anyone know where I can find the hot wire that activates when the door is open, or conversely when the dome light some on? I need to tap into one of those two wires to get the light kit to operate when I open the door, but I absolutely cannot figure out which wire is the correct one. Anyone done footwell lights yet, or know where I might be able to figure out where to find that wire? How would I even go about manually testing for the door/dome activated wire..? Thanks for the help. Opt-7 Footwell Light Kit GM-Trucks 2019 Silverado Footwell Light Post
  7. I just bought the Opt7 kit. Did you ever figure out how to get it on/off with the domes? I definitely want it coming on when I open the doors but don’t want them on all the time while driving
  8. Not GMC but I did my Silverado a few days ago. Took me about 10 minutes since I had just finished up installing a CAI and the radiator cover was already off. Super simple install and I think it looks great
  9. Has anyone messed with the flappers at all? I’m just doing a muffler swap this week but I’m absolutely lost when it comes to the flappers. I want as much noise as I can get without droning at highway speed or too much noise at cruise. I got a Magnaflow 11229 muffler. Question is, do I cut both flappers off or only one? If one, which one? I’m thinking the upstream flapper will kill more drone than the downstream. I read on another post that both flappers removes makes too much drone
  10. I’ve heard good things of the Borla Touring muffler for the 6.2L. For what I’ve heard the S type muffler is too loud and drones on the 6.2 at 40-60mph
  11. I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ with the 6.2L v8. My previous vehicle (2012 Tahoe LT 5.3L) I chopped the exhaust and added a magnaflow 12589 with dual exhaust tips. It made the perfect tone, loud but no drone at highway speed, something I want to recreate to an extent with my Silverado 6.2. Back in 2012 I guess the 5.3L Tahoe didn't have flappers. The new Silverado has 2 flappers, one before the muffler and one after. I have ordered a Magnaflow 11229 to replace the stock muffler with. My question, which flapper (if any) should I remove to get the best/deepest exhaust tone without making the vehicle drone when AFM kicks in. I want a deep sound without making it obnoxiously loud or making it drone at highway cruise speeds. I've seen a few posts from people who removed both flappers, only to have them both welded back in place. If I remove the flapper before or after the muffler, which one is going to give me the best sound without drone? May be useful to mention I also have an AFE Momentum GT Pro 5R CAI installed (one of the perks of working for a truck upfitter is getting parts before they're officially released!). Any advice helps Thanks for the help
