  1. Update on key FOB not working… the dealer found the truck was in learn mode. Multiple relays (driver side fuse panel) not plugged in and no power from B+ power to RCDLR. The company that installed my amp research steps apparently made a mess in the fuses and relays. Then put duct tape to hold relays in.
  2. 2019 Silverado, 18,000 miles… my windows have been tinted for 2 years, power running boards 2 years. After running to the store where I did have the rear passenger driver side door open for about 10-15 minutes. Got home, tried to turn off truck, it says no remote detected! I try to reprogram both FOBS as in the manual to no avail. I will try again tomorrow before I go to dealer. If I go to dealer or not I will post whatever solution I find.
  3. 35” bfg all terrain 18” Kmc XD wheels
  4. Correct. It did disable the auto start/stop. I hope it works for you. It just didn’t do anything that impressed me.
  5. I’m going to return it. I’m sorry but i don’t notice a difference. If you decide to buy one I hope it works better for you but for $194 it’s just not worth it to me. I ran it in sport, tow while towing, in town, freeway and I just can’t tell a major difference.
  6. I only purchased the Disabler to run 8cyl full time. Pushing the auto start/button never bothered me.
  7. Update for the day... today on a couple occasions (turning corners) I gave it a little extra throttle and it doesn't have that pause/delay before it gets moving. It was instant. I didn’t notice the “sensitive “ throttle on the freeway, in fact it ran pretty good. I’m still waiting to be blown away...maybe My expectations are too high? There’s an obvious pause/delay when shifting or “flooring it” that’s what I want gone. One more day of regular driving then I’ll mess with tow, sport and really open it up.
  8. Lol I didn’t read that...thankfully not paying attention didn’t bite me in the butt. They do fit a little tight in the rear but still fit.
  9. I like it! But I’m in the same boat as OP. I’d like to add a sub/amp.
  10. Absolutely. I think the DFM vs AFM is apples to oranges. The reviews I read prior to purchasing was all AFM reviews. Maybe they really improved the DFM? Again there’s still more driving to be done...
  11. My truck is a 2019 so yes it’s DFM. So first impression is the throttle is more responsive for sure. Great in town at lights etc but kinda annoying on the freeway. I barely push on the gas and it wants to downshift. The throttle controller has been removed from the truck*... I don’t notice smoother shifts and I don’t feel like it runs any better. But it’s only been 24 miles so there’s a ton of road left to test. I will test in sport, tow, etc. my freeway driving has zero traffic in the am. In the afternoon, I have medium to heavy traffic so I didn’t notice the sensitivity which was nice.
  12. Mine are all oblong holes and the fit good. As a matter of fact that picture is of the rear
  13. The first Disabler did disable the auto start/stop. It left the auto start/stop button lit up which is normal as I’ve been told but it did work. I commute about 24 miles during my 4 day work week but I will give it a full week of weekend (in town) driving as well. I will do my best to post my honest opinion daily. I will say I really want this to work but if I don’t notice anything (and I mean anything) not just if if doesn’t impress me. I’m mainly looking at the lag time in shifts which is what I notice the most from stock. I’m also turning off my throttle controller. To be clear, I bought the Disabler. I’m in no way reviewing this for Range.
  14. Received the Range Disabler today. Shipping was super fast! I called Range on Friday and had the new Disabler today, Tuesday. I will run the truck tomorrow and post my opinion. I will continue to run the Disabler for the next week and post a more detailed account.
  15. These are $10 for 2 on sharptruck.com perfect option for the money... all Chevy colors...they are called fender plugs and they’re made to put in the mud flap hole
  16. So I spoke with range and they suggested my Disabler is probably defective. They are sending me a new one when I receive it I will return the defective one. First off great customer service! Second, I can’t wait to try a working Disabler!! Everything I hear is so convincing. I should have the new one by Tuesday so I will post an update Wednesday or Thursday. The lag shift and responsiveness is exactly what I want!
  17. So it flashes so quick I believe it’s 7.1 or 8.1 I will check again tomorrow to get it for sure. I understand the exhaust sound was horrible with the DFM/AFM. Do you have AFM or DFM? also does your auto start/stop indicator light on the switch stay on? I didn’t notice any shift difference but another thing to note is I’m kinda heavy on the throttle... so maybe it’s always bumping back to 8 cyl? Idk... I paid $195 I believe and I wasn’t looking for HP gains I was really interested in preserving the engine life and getting rid of the lag time while accelerating. I do have a hikeit throttle controller also.
  18. I bought it, I ran it, I honestly can’t tell the difference. I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 5.3. After reading EVERYTHING about DFM Disabler how could you not want to buy it? I truly believe it did wonders for the AFM but I see no difference on the freeway, city streets, towing, sport mode etc! This is not to steer you away or drive you to your purchase. I am disappointed that’s all.
  19. If you keep the big opening uncovered it is louder, a lot louder but in a good way. Covering it up makes it sound like a really good cold air intake system. I am leaving mine uncovered until the summertime. In addition I purchased the filter cover that slides over the air filter to prevent extra debris from clogging up my filter because of so many openings on the airbox.
  20. Go with the dry filters and you can always buy the filter cover to help...
  21. I left the side opening open but I bought and installed the filter cover to compensate for the extra debris that will come in through the openings. The main reason I like S&B was how sealed up their system is. It looks BADASS, sounds amazing. I’m not sure if it gave me any HP but I only bought it for the sound...
  22. Lol that was the most concise answer ever, thanks.
  23. I’m confused why you can’t turn the off the DFM by setting the Silverado in sport or tow mode...I’m not positive putting the truck in L7 shuts it off either.
