  1. The Crate mufflers from Borla are a bit steep.
  2. Very strange the Trail boss 2” lift includes replacement cv and no spacers are used either. the RC kits for the trail boss are plastic spacers, I wouldnt recommend that kit. Looking at the trail fx in the link below, its a 3” according to the details I can find. Thats too much. https://www.trailfx.com/trailfx/suspension/leveling-kits/TrailFX-Leveling-Kit-Suspension-G30LL2--TLFG30LL2
  3. Pretty sure probably 10s of thousands have lol. I did . Just not a Borla .
  4. So it depend what you are looking for . I can tell you the 2020 trucks are way way quieter than the 2018 . Im not quite sure what they did . For myself I probably should have straight piped it. My Black Widow setup is nice and fairly loud. But its still not near my 2018 with the same exact setup. im convinced you just cant make them loud , maybe a straight pipe? With the resonance pipes removed and the flapper removed , Black Widow Race Venom it sounds good, not loud at all unless cold start, in cab noise is noticeable at 100 km/h to 115 km/h after 115 it goes away. Under that or over that range its quiet in cab.
  5. I Called ready lift again today, they said any tire over 11.5” wide with stock rims isnt recommended as it may rub. They have 6mm spacer kit and they actually said it will help stock rims with wider than 11.5” tires clear the control arm.
  6. Yes its the CV that is replaced on the Trail Boss vs standard 1500. The premise remains the same its not simply a leveling kit.
  7. Im in Canada, I have 1000-1100 miles on mine. Only because I took a 600 mile trip on the highway. Im going to post mine for 800 canadian. I think they are 3-325 a tire new plus tax and rubber fee etc. Im someone offers 700 I would consider it for me. 450 us is about 600-625 canadian atm. To give an idea.
  8. Ive been scouring for info on this. So far Ive found that on the Trail Boss, 295/70/18 will work. Seems its the wider tires that present an issue, 12.5” for example which are easier to find in more options may rub.
  9. The main thing to look at here is the CV shafts. They are different on the Trail boss and AT4 then a standard 1500
  10. So the the Trail boss factory lift entails the following. Mechanical Different CV shafts, new front impact horn lowering adapter, taller front struts, longer rear shocks, rear spring spacers, taller jounce bumper mount, u-bolts/nuts, and longer reach bottle jack.
  11. In Short its too much , I wouldnt want to recommend that to you. There is a 1” kit that would be a better option see link. https://motofablifts.com/i-30558313-2019-2020-silverado-trail-boss-or-sierra-at4-1-front-leveling-lift-kit.html?ref=category:1390599 In order to go higher you need to split the difference between the top and bottom spacer. So it would have a lower and upper spacer and then they recommend upper control arms to pair with it to maintain the proper ball joint angle.
  12. Hey bud, You have the just of it, the only advantage of a back system is the material is typically 304 stainless. On a good kit anyway. They normally claim mandrel bent but the stock exhaust is aswell. They also usually come with tips, besides that not much difference. Now on the chevy/gm the exhaust pipe is 2.75” , on the catbacks they are 3”, a replacement muffler is also 3” in/out.
  13. I know there has been a few threads on this but I wanted one specific to the trail boss and specific to the 18” rims. The Trail boss can handle bigger tires than the AT4 so to lump them together doesnt make sense. What is or who has bigger tires on the stock 18” rims? Ive so far found that 295/70/18 has been done a few times without a level and no rubbing. That tires size is fine for me , I would be happy , however there is a rubber shortage especially for odd size tires. my question is has anyone done 35x12.5” tires on the trail boss 18” rims. It seems the 12.5” wide is more so the issue vs the 35”. Does anyone have 33” x12.5” ? Im curious because clearly people have 34.6” on stock trail boss 18” no level but they are 11.6” or 11.7” wide. 295/70/18. Please help me out , im debating between trail grapplers, ridge grapplers , open country M/T, open country AT2 Extreme and BFG KM3.
  14. You could step up to the next muffler and go race venom or widowmaker 10” the widowmaker 6” might be too loud .
  15. Sometime a little goes a long way. A 1/4” on a taper or angle over a distance could end up being significant . Thats why I called motofab, fabtech readylift and asked some questions. According to motofab if you do a lower spacer its safer as you do not run into ball joint angle problems at full droop. Now a top spacer is not ideal on these trucks and even the bottom spacer they are recommending 1”. Hence why they arent offering options for taller levels. My thoughts are Ready lift is doing the max bottom spacer which should be comparable to the motofab in dimensions , but its the additional top spacer which is causing the issue of ball joint angle at full droop. This is why they include uca in the kit. So in summary if you went to increase your front end clearance by 1”, it would be nearly level. You could go with the motofab spacer which is easier and quicker to install and less costly. Motofab stated the 1” spacer in the front maintains GM tolerances for both ball joint and cv angles. So just another avenue , some might want more height than the 1”. Although the motofab lifts a full true 1” and the ready lift I believe is called out as 1.75 but actually does 1.5. So its not far off.
  16. Im just stating ready lift does not state with the level lit that you can not use auto 4wd. doesnt state it anywhere for the level.
  17. Dude lol, thats for the sst lift Not the level.
  18. I take everything with a grain of salt , even thia forum, tons of misinformation or speculation passed off as fact, that said there are more out there with issues with the ready lift.Ready lift responds to bad reviews, they didnt to that one and buddy mentioned they gave him a full refund. Lots of people have the 19s with over 25k on a regular levels no issues, you shouldnt go over 1” with lower spacer. just be aware that the ready lift kit for this years models, with the control arms arent bullet proof. They have had issues with them too. I know for the actual lifts they recommend not using auto 4wd but still using 4 hi and lo but didnt see that for the level, where does it state that?
  19. The ready lift kit doesnt address the cv , it only addresses the ball joint. there is a kit , a simple kit from motofab. This is actually a way safer solution as its raising the truck 1”, it will have a rake but very little. This will provide a better angle for cv than the ready lift and maintins almost factory ball joint angles. https://motofablifts.com/i-30558313-2019-2020-silverado-trail-boss-or-sierra-at4-1-front-leveling-lift-kit.html?ref=category:1390599
  20. This is incorrect , its not a leveling kit on the trailboss , its a lift. And the UCA on the trail boss are not the same as ones on a regular 1500, so they have already compensated for any ball joint angle from the factory. You are just leveling the front end , there are 1” levels for the TB that have nearly 0 effect on ball joint angle so no need to change UCA. But to each there own. People have done the level with UCA and experienced failures lol, bad installs are bad installs .
  21. I know people are running 35s on stock 18 inch rims no level no rub, but do some are running less than 12.5” width. will 35x12.5 work on stock trailboss rims. Without a level. I plan to level afterwards but would like to get the tires now. Seems like stock rims clear more tire and I like the stock rims.
