  1. Did you notice a difference from the S&B?
  2. It should be 2.75”, if going weld on tips you just go 3” as there are more options.
  3. You can get the 6.2 with factory dual bumper exit with the screen in 2020. Like my LT trail boss. To answer the your question, look for and offset in center out or offset / offset. 3”.
  4. Yeah its hard to record on an iphone while driving, the just is, there is no drone , its almost inaudible in the cab. Its not like the 18 / prior years. They have changed the sound proofing. You can safely delete everything and be bad ass without the drone fear mongers swaying your decision.
  5. No down side, the flapper should be removed when changing the muffler. The muffler is big, heavy and restrictive . You wont get an aggressive tone with the screens in place , if you have the resonator screens if not and you have an actual resonator then the same thing, it should be removed unless you are after a milder tone. All these components are after any sensors so no issues with codes or anything. Ill post some pictures of how she looks.
  6. In cab start and acceleration. https://streamable.com/xkjioj https://streamable.com/7cq5ec https://streamable.com/7hv6zn
  7. Yeah, I can only speak to my truck. With the duals rear exit . I know some trucks have side exits. But these trucks are well sound insulated. Quiet in the cab. https://www.blackwidowexhaust.com/mufflers/Race-Venom-3-offset-offset-SKU-BWOOR-33-p108144418
  8. Quick cold start and a few revs . didnt want to rev her to hard its late lol. https://streamable.com/5jr012 https://streamable.com/qvr525
  9. Its actually not very loud lol. The cold starts are always loud. I liked it better with resonators covered so I dropped it off at the exhaust shop this morning, to do a proper delete of all the resonator screens. I only drove it a bit when I picked it up at Lunch but im happy with it now. Puts a smile on your face . Its mean sounding.
  10. Dropped my truck off this morning to get the resonator screens removed. Cutting the section out containing the three screens on each side, welding in 3” pipe . Its roughly a 12” section on each side. Flapper was removed with stock muffler and a black widow put in place. Just picked it up. It sounds way better with those screens removed , and I also feel like the truck has more bottom end with screens removed . Driving at 40km/h , 60km/h and 80km/h. No drone whatsoever. Its shockingly silent in the cab at cruising speeds. starting thread to upload some videos after work.
  11. Cold start this morning. Cant get on the revs until after work. 4 of 6 resonators covered. https://streamable.com/xpk899
  12. There is no drone at all with resonators in place. I went ahead and covered the first two on each side . So 4 of 6 . Leaving only the rear 2 (1 on each side) open. With this setup you can just barely hear it in the cab if you let off the gas and re engage the pedal at a cruising speed of 60km. I wouldnt call it drone though, the tire noise of the duratracs is louder. I will get some clips , im going to cut the pipe section out with all 3 resonators and replace it with a piece of 3” stainless. So far its not as loud as my 18. Btw I used this to cover the resonators.
  13. Whats the best way to upload a vid on here ? This is a warm start. https://streamable.com/v6ng91
  14. Just a note , I installed the muffler today , deleted the flapper. I opted to try it with the resonator screens left on, factory dual setup for research purposes lol. The resonators really really really quiet the good tone. I will post a couple videos.
  15. Emissions legal? Must be talking Cali. Anyway just thought it should be brought up you can buy just the muffler from borla and still get no drone and effectively accomplish the same thing. A cat back exhaust system on these trucks wont produce much if any more than a muffler swap/ flapper delete.
  16. Curious On this . These “Catback” exhaust systems are just that, from the cat back replaced. why pay all that money to replace GMs OEM piping which is already stainless! The only gains you Get are from the muffler swap , taking the old muffler out with the flappers and replacing with a high flow muffler no flappers. essentially that 13 HP gain for $2000 dollars can be had for around 200-300 dollars. save your money people, replace the muffler you will get the same gains and sound or better lol. as far as a cold air intake , get S&B , Volant or Cold Air Inductions. They make much better design intakes and filters. Disconnect the negative battery terminal during installation. This resets the ECM so it can re learn the fuel trims . No need to get GMs “Tune” . Its not a tune.
  17. Also just a note the angry Housewife is just a shorter race venom , apparently its not quite as loud as the regular race venom , but a little less raspy. (I like the rasp in the race venom) Stock right now is pretty crappy but looking underneath the truck I recommend an offset-offset or an offset center. 3”. delete flapper 100%.
  18. I had a race venom in my 18, I bought another for my 2020 . Getting installed monday , deleting the flapper and resonators . on my 18 it sounded fierce. Every time I went somewhere people asked me what I had in her. I will let you know Monday how she sounds through the duals
  19. Replacing the muffler, and looking at the stocking situation, they are limited in the exhaust I want because of supply issues. They have an Offset in - Offset out opposite side. Is that ideal? This muffler is much smaller than the stock.
