Driving the truck fine daily, a couple times lately the “service stabilitrak” warning came on randomly while just driving, then would go away. Was going to run to the dealership to ask about it when I got a chance but never got there. Had to run out yesterday and grab a few things, when I got back in the truck to leave, truck would not start, not even an attempt to roll over, engine light was on and “service stabilitrak” warning on the dash again. Tried boosting the battery but no luck, let it charge to 13V and tried to start the truck again and nothing, not a sound. Called roadside assistance and had it towed to the dealer in the night. The next day the dealership got in it and it started fine, no lights on the dash and ran perfect. They did a diagnostic and told me that it was the starting motor getting bad and they wanted to replace it, but it never showed any signs really of a bad starter plus i didn’t hear the solenoid engaging when trying to start it yesterday! Drove it home perfect today. Truck has approximately 85,000 kilometres. Anyone have this same/similar issue? Maybe a bad ground/corrosion? Any info/ideas would be great! Thanks.
