  1. Thanks 64BAwagon, my research has shown this to be a common issue on the '14 to '18 models. Curious to hear if anyone has experienced the same issue on the '19 and up trucks? It is acting like what I think would happened if the antenna connection had corrosion issues and worked some of the time.
  2. Hello, I have a 2021 Sierra Denali that intermittently has issues with the compass, road signs, Navi and GMC App not working. It went completely out about 12 months into ownership with the GPS red crossed out circle, after multiple trips to the dealership they fixed it replacing the GPS module. It worked okay for about 8 months and now it intermittently stops working, I get the CAL for the compass, road signs are blank, Nav freezes on the last location, no App connection. Onstar can not connect to the vehicle and has asked me to take it to the dealership. I am tired of the dealership hassle, thinking it might be the shark fin antenna. Anyone have similar issues and what it took to fix it? Thanks...
  3. I had the same issue, I ended up buying an aftermarket fin type antenna from Amazon (image attached), removed the interior electronics, drilled a hole for the camera and mounted the camera in the housing. Then mounted the fin on top of the cap and used the cable listed below (Amazon). It took a couple of tries get the angle right (used silicone to glue the camera into the housing) but it works well for me, less than $50 including painting it to match my truck and a few hours DIY time. My dad has my truck for the next couple of weeks, I will post a picture when he gets back.
  4. Great work getting the HUD retrofitted and working! FYI, I work in the glass industry and HUD windshields are very different from a regular windshield, you are getting a lot of distortion and a double image as a result. All of this will improve considerably if you were to swap out the windshield for the HUD windshield, we have to control the surface in the projection area very tightly to eliminate these issues. Just some information I hope is helpful...
  5. Hello, I am looking at retractable electric running boards and noticed Rough Country has a product to compete with Amp, anyone have any experience with them? I hear only good things about the Amps but like the Rough Country design as it is very similar to the GM power steps. Hard to find any reviews beyond the few on their website. Thanks 2020 GMC Sierra SLT
