Bought a 2006 Silverado 1500hd and the stereo didn’t work. Just replaced it with a basic deck. It turns on and everything works but when it is in any mode other than standby, there is a static-y white noise sound in the background. I don’t have a sub so there is nothing in the rca jacks. Ground wires are connected properly. I confirmed it is not the unit itself by trying it in another vehicle and there was no static. Truck has the Bose speakers and they work well. So I’m understanding this correctly...turn the key bolt in so to tighten it. That will then rotate the key downward which will move the front control arms up making the tires come closer to the fender? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey all. New to the Forum. Just purchased a used 2006 Silverado 1500HD. Currently the truck has 35" tires on it. It feels like a slug when I accelerate (to the point that when I remove my foot from the brake the truck doesn't move) so I am going to downsize my tires a bit to a 33". Stock gears per the info in the glove box is 3.73 so I am going to assume at this point that is what this truck has. The rear has a 2.5" spacer block. Can I assume the rear end lift is then 2.5"? The front sits 1/2" higher than the back and it kind of annoys me. What I would like to know is what my options are for bringing the front down a 1/2" or slightly more. Bonus question is what can I do to fix my speedo or to recalibrate it? It is off by about 5mph at 35mph. Any help is much appreciated!
