  1. Any updates on the paint peeling lawsuit?
  2. Found the problem. I checked the upper control arm bolts for proper torque and found the rear bolt to be over tightened to the point of needing a 18" long 1/2" drive breaker bar to break it loose and the front I got 2 turns on the nut to get it torqued properly. Still had the noise. I replaced the upper control arm which had new bushings and ball joint and install a new camber/caster adjustment bolt kit and the noise is gone. The old front adjustment bolt was worn down a 1/16" of an inch where it went into the bushing. Never going back to the Firestone Complete Auto Care shop that did the work.
  3. I replaced the struts, the sway bar bushings and the end links. I also replaced a CV axle on that side due to a torn boot. Everything is tight including the lower frame bolts. I wondering if they control arm bushings might be getting worn.
  4. Whatever became of this? Did you ever solve the problem? I have the same noise on the passenger side. It started shortly after an alignment which was at 40K, I put new tires on then. My whole front end seems to be tight. Another shop check the front end and couldn't find anything wrong. The noise seems to be more noticeable when it's wet outside. I hear the clunk under 20 mph when hitting small holes in the road and bumps in the road. I also hear it every time I pull into my driveway which has a small bump. I replaced the sway bar bushings, the end links and installed new struts with shocks.
  5. Not driving in 4x4, lol. Thanks for the ideas.
  6. Hi, I have a 2015 silverado 1500 ltz crew cab 4x4. A year ago I put new tires on it at 47000 miles. I had the front end aligned and have heard a clunk in the front end on the passenger side ever since. I notice it on some bumps and when I pull into the drive. The shop that aligned it left the steering wheel crooked so I took it to another shop to have the front end inspected and realigned. They found nothing wrong. Now at 57000 miles I seem to notice it more. Maybe it's louder or maybe it's just me. Ball joints and tie rods seem to be ok. Sway-bar bushings seem fine. Any idea's as to what could be causing the noise? Could the first shop have loosened something and not get it tight enough?
