So the diode is like a one way jumper wire correct? Is it a easier way compared to using fuse piggy back plugged into the cargo switch? I added some led pods to my 2016 Silverado back bumper. I want the pods to turn on when in reverse and have the option to turn on with the factory cargo switch. If I understand this correctly, I use a diode to go from the cargo power to the reverse light power, then splice pods in with reverse light wires in rear? Does that sound like I’m headed in right direction? Would there be any reason in using a relay any where? Would appreciate any advice or tips. thanks
