  1. Another option worth looking into is the range afm/dfm disabler. I have that and it strictly disabled the afm/dfm. Quite a bit cheaper than the pulsar but uses the obd2 port. Would have to see if it works for yours as mine is the 5.3 with the 6 speed. So much better driving without that.
  2. Recently installed fox 2.0 coilover and fox shocks in rear. Was an inch nose high so installed 1.5” rough country tapered blocks in rear. I rode around nose high for a bit and besides the look it rode good. Since the blocks it seems to have a bit of vibrations or maybe it’s just how they feel with blocks. Not sure. Seemed to ride better when I had a bit of stuff in the bed. Not so noticeable in the city but on the highway 100+km/h it was. I have rough country upper control arms on order and have been looking for a dif drop kit with limited results. I know people say you can get away without it for only a 2” lift but I would still like my front end components to last seeing as how I probably voided the warranty for that stuff. The only thing I can find is a supreme suspensions dif drop kit. Has mixed reviews About the hardware that’s received being the wrong length. I think someone said they are half inch spacers. The manufacturer doesn’t list it. Just says it’s for lifted or leveled. Anyone used this kit? Is there anything else I should look at? I know about the longer cv shafts but hoping if I did the dif drop maybe those wouldn’t be necessary. Thanks for any input.
  3. Do you have the auto 4wd? Have you had any issues with yourb4wd function since the coil overs?
  4. Looks good. Do you have any blocks in the rear? Mine has none so I ordered a set of 1.5” for a bit of rake. Is it even front and back without one if so? Also I installed my rear shocks body down. I liked the look better. I had read online it could go either way. Did you hear that?
  5. I have a 21 Silverado custom 4x4. JI’m in the process of installing fox 2.0 coil overs and shocks in the rear with 1.5” rear blocks. I’m wondering if anyone has added similar coil overs and how their 4wd function was after. I frequently use the auto feature in the winter time so was hoping there won’t be an issue. If there were issues what could I add to resolve the issue. Thanks.
  6. Warranty is a good thing but wanted the performance of the fox shocks. I was looking at the gm lift and it has a few extra pieces that most people don’t mention needing when doing a level. It didn’t list everything that came with it but from what I could see in then picture aside from shocks and blocks was sway bar drop brackets, cvs and mentioned a power steering recalibration. Not sure if I should look into getting a sway bar drop bracket and inquire about the power steering recalibration? Most people don’t mention that as a need when just going up a couple inches.
  7. Main reason I didn’t go with bilstein was I heard they rust rather quick. In Canada that would be a definite problem. So they would look like crap. Second for the front coil overs they reuse stock component for assembly. Easier with the fox plus they are aluminum so shouldn’t rust
  8. Already ordered the fox coil overs and rear shocks. Pretty steep I’d say for they setup for a 2” lift but hoping the quality makes up for it. I was thinking for some reason the coil overs came in a pair when I ordered it but they don’t so I had to order another. In Canada. Was 670 a piece for the coil overs plus 250 each for the rears lol. I ordered some 1.5” blocks for the rear. Was tough because I could get the same rough country setup for less and a grand but hoping the quality of fox will make up for the price cost. Usually what I see BDS pair up with for their lifts.
  9. Do you recall which 1.5” block you went with? Was it tapered or square? Some I see are one of the other. Certain threads I have read said they got vibrations from changing the angles with squared vs tapered. Any of those issues or issues with 4wd after doing the lift? I like to use the auto 4wd on snow covered roads in the winter.
  10. Hi, I have a 21 Silverado custom 4x4 with the 5.3. I’m planning on changing the suspension with the fox 2.0 performance 2” levelling coil overs for the front and the struts for the rear. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with this setup and anything else I should look at? I’m going for the level look but I also I want to have a bit of rake still in the back as I do load it up from time to time.In the winter I put a couple hundred pounds of sand bags in the back and don’t want to drive around nose high. Will I need to look at upper control arms or will I be fine with stock? And will I need a small rear block to achieve a bit or take? Thanks for any input.
  11. I have a 21 custom. Which is stock suspension. I recently swapped rims to a 20x9 0 offset and stock tire size. 275 60 20. Cooper discoverer at3. Same issue with rubbing mud flaps. Removed them and ordered Color matched fender plugs for the holes on the front and rear. So far I havnt noticed any stone chipping. They don’t stick out much though. Maybe an inch. Could try that as an option. A lot cheaper than mcgouggeys kit. 15$ a set
  12. Located in Ontario Canada Truxedo truxport roll up tonneau cover. Used for 6 months and decided to go to a different style. Fits 19-21 gmc-Silverado short bed. 300$
  13. Not sure if it’s the same sound I was getting from the rear. Was more of a knocking sound. Driving slow in parking lots on uneven surface, bumps or entering/exiting laneways. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the rear diff that has a little play. Said they are all like that and it’s normal. I’ve learned to live with it. Some times you don’t notice it others you do
  14. I also find it flawed. Not for when the vehicle is simply running empty before the driver gets in but for the passengers. Many times I’ll start the vehicle on a cold day and my passengers will go in the vehicle before me and will have to sit there getting blasted with cold air until I get in. Sometimes that could be up to 5 minutes later. Rarely is the vehicle running long enough for the temp to really warm up the interior before getting in. I’m mostly doing it to get the fluids flowing so I can get in and go. Prior to leaving work or heading to work from home. If you could have the blowers continue where they were last set i think that would be better.
  15. I ended up purchasing the range and taking a chance. So far no issues.
  16. Well this wasn’t outside temp air. It was 80+ outside and I was getting ac cold air from the vents. Same in the winter time with hot air.
  17. I have a 21 Silverado with the single zone climate controls. Manual. I had the ac on through the front vents. Shut it off the blower and opened the windows. I noticed I could still feel cold air coming out of the vents. Not blowing but still cold like it wasnt shut all the way or something. Anyone else’s like that?
  18. I picked up my Silverado with the shadow grey. Not many choices at the dealers. It’s grown on me. A lot better in person compared to a picture, depending on the lighting. These colors are nice and I’ve never seen any with these colors. I really like that tan. I would have really liked to get it in blue. My 19 camaro is the riverside blue. Once ceramic coated, it really popped.
  19. Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was like that.
  20. I looked in the personalization settings and couldn’t find anything for that. The custom doesn’t have the auto climate feature. No digital dials. Just the manual dials without the digital temp. If I auto start and passengers get in before I turn the key they just get blasted with cold air. Would be nice to have it engage at what the dial is previously set at. Wasn’t sure if it was supposed to have the fan feature to change with auto start and was just missing it. It was missing the rear seat reminder feature so It wouldn’t surprise me lol.
  21. I have a 21 custom Silverado 1500. Whenever I remote start the fans always kick on full blast, even with the fans off to begin with. Is this normal for this trim level? My other vehicle I could enable or disable that feature but this one doesn’t have that.
  22. Doing the reset has also worked for me so far. I did the user reset. Has been about 4 days so far and hasn’t reset. I’ve switched sources and everything has stayed put.
  23. I had my vehicle at the dealer today and mentioned it and they looked it up. Said there is no known fix yet but the engineers are aware and currently working on an fix. I did a factory reset today though as I had a phone connected on bluetooth before that I couldn’t remove from the Home Screen.
  24. I have a 2021 Silverado 1500 5.3 crew cab. I just received a recall notice for a rear seat reminder that I am supposed to have but wasn’t programmed in. Anyone else receive this? it says they have to program the BCM to fix this. I’m wondering if it’s even worth it? For any of you that have this, is it annoying? Lol I have not managed to forget my kids this far or ever. I’m thinking more for people that keep stuff on their back seat all the time.
