He understood my comment but like me, he doesn't have the power to change the way GM operates. Besides, Ford is no different. I guess GM figures it helps dealers sell what they have on the lot more than sales to people who want to order something special. I ordered one today and am expecting up to 12 weeks. I did inform the dealer that GM needs to step up their game on customer orders. I ordered a new Chevrolet El Camino in 1982 to get it built exactly to my specifications and it took 6 233ks from order to delivery. I do not understand why with the computers and software available today that a customer order delivery time can't be reduced. It would seem software could program the customer order up in the production order do reduce waiting times.
