    I would of had the same issue and damage but my truck is parked outside in the driveway. Mine was totally random at anytime in park with no regard to the key fob having to be near the truck.

    Dealer replaced the switch in the tailgate and that fixed the issue with mine. Took about three weeks for the dealer to receive the new switch.

    Took my in on Tuesday, dealer disabled the switch at the tailgate and ordered a new one (waiting part). The random opening and shutting in park has stop. Until I get the new tailgate switch, I can only open/shut with dash switch or key fob.

    I’m having the same issues with the power tailgate going rogue randomly when in park. Any confirmation on the fix? Thanks! I have an appointment next week for this and the parking assist randomly turning off (under perfect weather conditions). 200 miles on the truck, less than a week old.
