I recently purchased a 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premier but it only came with 1 key fob. I ordered an additional key fob and followed some of the YouTube videos on programming it myself instead of spending the hundreds the dealer wanted. Both remotes work fine, only issue is now the original fob that came with the vehicle is Driver 1 and the additional key fob is Driver 3. The additional fob does not have the Chevy emblem on the back, but I wouldn’t think that would make an issue if you only have 2 fobs and are reprogramming them. Anyone have any ideas? I tried to go through the programming again but same results. I even picked up an additional fob (same as the second one) and sat through the 30 minutes to reprogram only to have the original stored as Driver 1 and the two additional fobs both as Driver 3.
