    i just removed the lube that was in the center of the bar. the hose clamp fix does not require removing the seat.

    the clamps i installed have not changed anything as far as function of the seat. also, i wiped of the lube that was on the 1" bar. I think some of you guys are overthinking this. The fix is very simple and is very quick and easy to do.

    the third clamp goes to the "outboard" side, (side closest to the door) of the stock white clamp. the other clamp doesnt have room on the outboard side. its kinda hard to explain, but extremely simple. ill try to post a pic later today.

    I have a 2014 gmc sierra with 25k miles that has had this issue since day one. thought about taking it to the dealer, then realized ... my fix was/is: go back to where hotrodz37 shows pics look under your seat i used (3) #10 hose clamps @ 79 cents each i couldnt find the " C " clamps FOR THE RUBBER but i had a strip of rubber 3mm (just under 1/8") thick cut 2 pieces 5/8" wide x 2 1/4" long i clamped the rubber in using the hose clamps exactly how the pics show, on the inboard sides of the white stock clamp rubber on the top of the 1" tube, hose clamp head towards the floor. crank down using a cordless impact: first test drive, perfect except felt a clunk pulling into driveway. added hose clamp with rubber to the "outboard" side of the white stock clamp. using 3 clamps with rubbers SEAT NOW FEELS VERY VERY SOLID hopefully it holds feels great now, no dealer involved

    Someone posted that they found the antenna cable and base are 1 piece. Do you think the cable is ok?

    i agree. All it would take at first would be replacing the antenna and/or antenna cable and see what that does. I guess it is an added expense that gm doesnt want unless they are forced to do it.

    ok cool. I guess then it could be the cable or the antenna. I saw some aftermarket antenna at pep boys, but they looked like the stock antenna. any idea of what replacement antenna they used?

    If they are saying its the antenna cable causing the problem, how is antenna replacement a solution???

    yes, but the problem is that the previous model gmc/chevys all had much better reception than the 14's Your 13 ram's radio must have really sucked if the 14 chevy's is better

    they cant fix your radio (and mine) because there is "technically" nothing wrong with it. there are no defective parts. But ... As you and i know, the radio reception with this new intelli-stink system SUCKS. I hate to say it, but it will be just a waste of time to work with gm on this issue. I hope someone comes up with an aftermarket solution. Could a different antenna help?

    i read a good description about this on this site about a month ago. The GM reps on this site are like the close button on an elevator. You think it does something but in actuality it/they does/do nothing.

    Its all double-talk from the dealer and GM. They dont even acknowledge the problem. It isnt like the antenna isnt hooked up or something. The intelli-stink system sucks.

    Im not sure i would say GM did it on purpose, but possibly. *************************************** They changed the type of radio with the "intelli-stink" system, and the radio is not as good. There will be no "fix" from GM. It actually is working as it should, just not working as well as the previous radios in the gmt 800, 900, etc. Attention aftermarket: Please come of with something to increase radio reception => antenna booster, new antenna, new radio

    I installed one about 6 weeks ago. No complaints and i think its one of the best ones available. I'm not 100% sure, but i think the GM hard folding cover is the fold-a-cover g4.

    i think the problem is that the radio reception is not as good with this mylink system or whatever it is. its not that its not working properly, its just that is isnt as good as what was used as the radio before. maybe there will be an aftermarket solution to improve the radio reception.

    Jennifer T. What are we supposed to do about the poor radio reception in the 14's? It doesnt seem like going to the dealer gets anything done.

    It would be nice to know how to fix the seat. The guy a few posts back used some bushing and washers and fix the seat? I'm not taking it to the dealer until there is a TSB for this issue.
