First time poster here. I have a car dealership in Florida. Traded a 2017 Silverado with real low miles. Had the screen flickering issue. My salesman had the same issue in his truck and had it re-flashed and that fixed the issue. I replaced the screen with a used unit, didn't fix mine. I gave it to a friend who is a tech at Cadillac so he had all the proper software. He swapped the unit with the one in his truck, and eventually condemned the screen. $400 later, new screen arrives, install it, same issue. Reflashed the software, same issue. I was ready to throw in the towel on the entire thing after 2 screens, new software etc and it dawned on me, I have had a number of bad HDMI cables in my day on televisions, so what about the USB? I Dug through my junk drawer and made a Male to Male Mini USB cable, ran it from the Screen to the Computer and low and behold the issue stopped. I ordered a factory USB cable from Chevrolet, $13 took a few weeks to arrive. Now a month down the road, still no issues and the customer is happy. I feel like I run into things like this all the time and never find the time to post my solutions so hopefully this helps someone in the future. It is incredibly likely the screen is bad, its a rampant issue, but before you spent the money check that cable. It is kinked at a really weird angle and I think damages the lines ability to send a proper signal.
