    Thanks for that information will give those diagnostics a try. I have put the Climate System in Recirculate and the smell stops. Never thought about a fuel leak ! should though with only 1,100 miles on it

    I have a 2022 GMC Duramax 2500 HD. has about 1,100 miles on it. Having the same issue. Notice at stoplights idling Diesel exhaust smell thru the air vents, so I'm required to change the climate system to recirculate inside air .vs outside air. It's not in regen mode when this happens. Does not smell like burning off of solvents or new motor, just Diesel fumes. Think I'll visit the dealer in hopes they will look at this. My 2008 2500 Duramax had the same issue at 56K miles. It was the (factory deformed) clamp at the output of the turbo to the down pipe.
