  1. 283,000 miles. Haven’t gotten it apart yet to know what happened.
  2. Hi, I have a 2014 GMC Sierra with a vin code H 4.3 lv-3 with Vvt. It has failed and I am looking for a low mileage 4.3. I am on a tight budget. If it was an AFM/dod delete that would be awesome. I live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida East of Pensacola. My email is [email protected] Thanks! George
  3. Does the engine start and run without the transmission computer being flashed. I also heard that if the transmission computer and battery were disconnected it would cause a logic lock in the ecm which will keep the engine from firing. Supposedly disconnecting the positive and negative battery cables and holding them together will solve this logic lock.
  4. I had a local transmission shop rebuild the transmission on my 2014 Sierra 4.3. The engine ran when I had it towed to the shop. After the rebuild they said it wouldn’t fire. They said they do not program the tecm til the engine runs and haven’t added fluid. The spark plugs were really bad so they put new one, changed the engine oil and filter, put new rocker gaskets and a new brake vacuum pump. Said the engine is worn out (283,000) miles. It ran before it was sent to the shop. I am going to tow it home and work to figure it out. Any ideas of what can be wrong is really appreciated. Thank! George
  5. I have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500 2 wheel drive 4.3 with 283,000 miles on it. The torque converter just went out and took the transmission with it. It was owned by a relative and leaked oil on the starter. I have, among other codes, a po6dd and when starting the engine, after oil gauge sets it pegs all the way to 85lbs and stays there. Engine runs fine. I think non- Dexos oil was used (Penzoil high mileage 5w-30. Oil is not very dirty. I know the engine thermostat needs replacing. I am thinking the oil sending unit is bad and causing the po6dd that show up twice in the codes. They say a defective oil sending unit can peg the gauge and set a po6dd code. Am I on the right track?
  6. I purchased wheels from a Toyota Tacoma for my 1970 GMC pickup. The Toyota wheels have an offset of +25mm and my truck’s wheels have an offset of 0. What size wheel spacers do I need to run the Toyota wheels on my truck? Also are wheel spacers okay for my truck? Thank you.
