  1. I feel for you guys. I had mine for 3 months...3 of the longest months of my life. I was just never happy with the truck. I had the vibrations (1500 CC Z71) and the dealership where I bought it (and 3 other GM vehicles the past 5 years) stopped troubleshooting after swapping out rims and tires, and told me I needed to wait for a TSB. I could have pushed the issue, but I wasn't upside down and decided to cut my ties with GM and bought a 2014 Tundra, which I am very happy with thus far. Good luck fellas...I hope GM steps up and helps you guys out.
  2. I can't offer much advice as it seems your dealer has done a ton more for you than what mine has done for me. Mine told me to "wait for a tsb." I am currently looking at other brands and will not ever own another GM.
  3. I think you are right...my truck just feels like it is towing or under a load all the time with the transmission and especially in the wind. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  10. Answer from service director was...I noticed the other crew cabs on the lot have this same vibration. I will notify you of I see a technical bulletin. What a crock of dung! So...he basically told me to pack sand without any further diagnosis. Last GM vehicle I will ever own...period. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. Shame...isn't it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. I don't drive mine anymore. My wife drives it 14 miles a day until I get somewhere with this. Sad, but I just despise this whole episode. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. Well, it has been nearly a week since the service director and I took my truck out for a drive and no response from him yet. I will give them 7 business days (tomorrow) and then send a reminder email. Geesh...this experience on this truck has been nothing short of a nightmare.
  14. Exactly what mine looks like. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. That makes two of us...seeing that just made me mad that I got stuck with what I have Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. Arrrrgh...at least you have the strength to be patient. I am not sure I have that kind of resolve. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. Update on my truck. I met the service director this morning and he drove my truck with me in the passenger seat. He acknowledged a vibration at speed and thought it was "harmonic" in the drive train somewhere. He put it in neutral a few times at speed and noted more vibration when in gear. He did not rule out tires or rims but the RFB balancer is not operational at this time. When we got back to the dealership, he mentioned swapping out a set of tires and rims from another truck on the lot but wanted to drive another one to see if it had same vibration. He also said it did not feel like a driveshaft, but more of an "everything" issue, meaning transmission, exhaust, and engine related. The bad news was he told me up front GM Tech may need to be called because if it is said combination, it will be very hard to diagnose. I won't know the results of his driving another truck (although I did drive one and it wasn't as bad) and a recommended course of action until after the holiday weekend. I had a friend who worked at a GM dealership for 5 years drive the truck and he noted same vibration at nearly all speeds and was kind of perplexed by it. He is going to talk to some of his tech friends that work at larger dealerships to see if they have dealt with this issue. I drove his LT double cab Sierra and it drove like a truck should. I guess I will see what next week brings after the holiday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. I'd be interested in the process and proper steps to take as well. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. Interesting...because the more I drive mine, the more I think the Z71 is waaaay stiffer than my previous Z71's (even the ones with torsion bars)...and a major contributor to vibration via road imperfections that you cannot see on seemingly smooth roads. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. I feel the same way, I was just trying to remind folks we are trying to discuss the truck and not call each other names...that can go south in a hurry. I am as mad as anyone on here and would like a fix as well. I can't imagine how much more mad I would be if I had actually paid the $46K sticker and didn't have some equity from my trade. As it stands, I only owe a little over $29K and I am still as mad as can be.
  21. I think the light weight could have something to do with it on the Z71 because it appears they kept the same suspension as before with a lighter weight truck? I have noticed in mine, that any bump at any speed, causes the truck to vibrate in the steering wheel and the trim because it is so stiff. I am used to a stiff absorbtion of a bump, but what is throwing me off is the vibration caused, by what I deem to be the stiffness. Translate this to 60 MPH and given that no road is truly smooth...I am thinking I know where the problem lies in mine. Thoughts? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. We need a redirect here...no sense in arguing. Let's get back to diagnosis and experiences or this thread is going to lose credibility. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  23. Probably a GM techie...Lol. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  24. And the resale value will be non-existent. Sad. I will give em a few chances to fix it, but if they cannot, it may be wise to get out while you can. I can't see these things holding any value at all. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  25. No worries fella...good to know someone else is thinking about it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
