hi there. just bought a 2016 gmc 3500 diesel with 8 ft arctic fox camper mounted from the estate of my best friend who passed last year. he had a gm installed rear camera mounted on the campers licence plate holder which was monitored from the dash factory rear camera display and worked great. i removed the camper for winter and disconnected the lead and tucked it under the truck bumper where i found a ton of excess cable was already coiled. for what its worth the set up with the licence plate holder was fantastic. don't know where you're thinking of mounting the camera but if gm's length will work for you its a great setup. with the camper's camera removed now my truck tailgate camera isnt working. technology is wonderful.
