Thanks new dude, I have a 2020 trail boss with an AAM (su4) and 3.23 gears (GU5) The front differential has ring and pinion noise between 30-40 mph - loud grinding. Chevrolet dealership has looked at truck 5 times. GM told them to replace front differential assembly per warranty. However GM does not currently have an assembly replacement? I am looking at avenues fro repair and possible get a (SU5) in it's place. This should be a direct fit replacement?????

My mistake I meant su4 vs su5 - with gu5 (3.23)gears

Can you change out the noisy AAM (gu4) and put in a gm (gu5) front axle with same gear ratio (3.23) ???
