  1. Why do you want to do this? I have a 2018 E Assist truck and like it as it is. Are you experiencing problems ?
  2. I had a similar problem. My 2018 was preowned and developed a shudder. Since this was a certified preowned truck it was under warranty. I requested the Mobil 1 fluid change however the dealer said according to their records it already had Mobil1 so they replaced the torque converter. No more issues !!!
  3. I had the similar issue and after the application of Mobil1 the problem returned. The dealet replaced the torque converter (under warranty) this fixed it
  4. The Pressures you recorded are too low for R134
  5. Two Quick checks: The Low Pressure line from the evaporator to the compressor should be very cold. If not there is a refrigeration problem either with the refrigerant or the equipment. Also verify that you are getting a vigorous flow of air from the dash vents to insure that that system is functioning as it should. Good Luck
  6. Is there a correct procedure to change the 12 V battery in an E Assist truck ( 2018). ??? The orange HV wiring is present and presents questions as to how to do it correctly
  7. That's a strange one. I have never had this. Does the driver side window operate normally? The window/door lockout switch could be the reason.
  8. That is encouraging since the E assist trucks spend more time in V4 mode. and the propertied lifter problem could be an issue. What oil do you use ?
  9. How many miles do owners of E Assist owners have on their trucks? Also any trouble issues
  10. I have a 2018 Sierra with E assist. It now has 36000 miles and other than the well documented transmission problems ( torque converter replaced under warranty), it has been a joy to drive. 26 to 27 MPG on highway driving. My question is this : the problems with GM AFM lifters is well known and the E Assist trucks spend more time in V4 mode. Has anyone achieved high mileage on E Assist trucks? And what if any have bee problem areas ?

  12. I have a 2018 GM Sierra which I like a lot. My Questions are: Does any on know how many GM and Chevy pick ups were made with E Assist and why were they discontinued in 2019 ?
  13. I Have a 2018 GM Sierra 1500 with E-assist. Has any one successfully disabled AFM with the Range Disabler? Range Tech Service says the unit is not compatible
