Here is an update... Found a broken wire in the harness between the body and the door. Also found some other wires that were soon to be in trouble so we fixed all of them. Sorry there's no pics but the wire in question was the green one

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. Yesterday I started having problems with the driver's side door ajar coming up below the speedometer. I also noticed that the power windows didn't work... Let me explain. When driving down the road with the driver side door shut, the power windows do not work and you get the door ajar symbols. You can adjust the mirrors and the door locks buttons work but the windows up and down buttons do not work. Adjust the mirrors. Buttons light up so do the door locks. The windows up and down buttons do not light up. If you stop the vehicle and put it in park and open the driver side door to the first stop then the windows up and down buttons light up and they function. Also if you open the door all the way the windows up and down buttons stay lit and they function. But as soon as you shut the door the windows up and down buttons do not light up and they do not work. I'm hoping that I don't have to replace anything yet and maybe there's something that I could spray WD-40 on? An just what? This would be greatly appreciated. I hope I have explained myself thoroughly. Thoughts?
