  1. I do plan to have an alignment shop look at it and align it. I have read so many horror stories about the UCA'S and ball joints going out so I was just looking for a recommendation on an upgraded replacement if mine are worn. If they need to be replaced, I will not replace them with factory parts, they should not need to be replaced in 20,000 miles. As far as I am concerned the X31 package is a joke. If we treated these trucks like you see in some of the latest TV commercials from Chevy, the front suspension would collapse. So now can someone recommend a good replacement that will last?
  2. Looking for advice on UCA replacements for my 2019 Sierra SLE with X31. It is all stock as built including tires and @ 21,000 miles it started wandering slightly and when I had the oil changed the dealer said the camber is off on both front wheels. Before spending the money on an alignment, I would like to replace the Upper Control Arms with something better and hopefully greaseable. I do not want to go back to stock, what is recommended. I will be keeping it all stock, no lift kits or oversize tires or wheels. Thanks
  3. I had issues with the transmission shudder back in February of this year at 19175 miles. The dealer did the recommended flush and the issue seemed to go away until a couple of days ago. At first, I thought it was the road I was on because it was a rough road. The other day I went out of town and noticed it under light acceleration, and it started to do it at steady speeds. Also, if I accelerate hard and let up the rpm's do not drop back right away, and it takes some time before it upshifts. Looks like it is going back to the dealer again. I am starting to wish I had my old 2008 2500HD with 217500 miles back. I only did normal maintenance and repairs on it, and it was running and driving fine when I traded it in. The only reason I got a newer truck was because of rust from the road salt Ohio uses.
  4. Thanks I will check out AllData and repairprocedures.com.
  5. Wondering if there is a place where we can view all the TSB'S for our trucks? Is there a link on this site that I missed? It would be really nice if you had a copy of the tsb before talking to the dealer about issues. Thanks
  6. An update. I had previously installed a Denali dash cluster, and it was not allowing the BCM to accept the mileage. I had the dealer switch my instrument cluster back to my stock one and then he was able to program the mileage into the BCM. He then reinstalled the Denali cluster and it also accepted the programming so all is well. I am really glad I bought the extended warranty on this truck. All I had to pay was the deductible.
  7. Just a quick update to my shift to park message. I contacted the dealer and they had to have it towed. They finally got it in the shop and determined that the BCM was defective and ordered a new one. The truck was supposed to be finished today but for some reason they cannot get the BCM to accept the programming for the mileage from the old module. Hopefully, I will get it back on Monday. They opened a trouble ticket with GM tech. They said the truck starts, runs, shifts and drives but they must get the mileage programmed before they can release it. Also, since I mentioned that I was experiencing the transmission shudder that they will flush and service the transmission under warranty. Got my fingers crossed.
  8. Friday, I went to move my truck out of the garage and after I started it, I could not move the shifter lever. I tried adjusting the steering column and wiggling it around and no go. I then shut the engine off and got a message shift to park. I still could not move the shifter and when I opened the door, the system would not shut down. I had to unhook the battery. I let it sit with the battery unhooked for an hour and tried again, still no go. Right now, it is at the dealer, and he cannot look at it for a few days. Anyone else had this happen? I did a google search and it seems like this has been a GM problem for quite some time with various causes. Truck is a 2019 Sierra 1500 with only 19,000 miles.
  9. Thanks, that is what I wanted to hear. Did you order your truck with the intellihaul 2.0 or install it yourself?
  10. Hey guys, thanks for all the helpful advice. I have the latest update ordered for my Mac ET6250 scan tool so as soon as it comes in, I will run a scan on my truck to see if there are any codes in the history. I felt that since I already had a high-end tool the update was the best way to go. When I bought the tool a few years ago I got a good deal on it as the Pawn shop that had it did not know what it was worth.
  11. Well, I finally made up my mind. I decided to update my Mac ET6250 Scan Tool. The update will allow me to download software updates for one year from the date of activation so I should have some 2024 diagnostics on before the sub runs out. I am anxious to get the update installed so I can check for any codes in the history.
  12. I am trying to decide if I should update my Mac scan tool or put it up for sale and just buy something like a BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scan Tool. I doubt I will need a full featured scanner until my truck gets a little older. I bought the extended warranty for it because of all the possible lifters and transmissions problems so I should be worry free for a few more years. TheBlueDriver will allow me to check for trouble codes and help keep the dealers honest.
  13. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Since I already have a very good Mac Scout 6250 scan tool, I might be better off buying the latest update subscription. It is good for one year and will allow free updates to the tool database during that time. The sub also includes one year of access to the Mac repair source repair database. There are a total of nine vehicles in my family that I can use it on so I think I can defiantly make use of it. The only time I would need to update again is when one of us buys a vehicle newer than the subscription date. Most of the scan tools out there do not come with a repair database. I checked with Mac on the added features and tests that the latest update will provide, and it looks like it will do anything I could ever need. Seems like the best long-term solution. Gotta think on it some more.
  14. I did a search and read reviews on it, and it seems pretty sketchy at best. I do not think I want to chance it after reading reviews of all the issues with malware and problems getting it set up and running. Have you used this program?
