  1. I just took my 2020 Silverado in for the "service brake pad monitor". The day prior to my appointment I also got a message of "rear brake pads very low". My brake pads showed over 80% less than a month ago. The truck has 45,000 miles on it and I'm being told that my rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced and the fronts are going to need it in the very near future. When I informed the dealer (Genesis Cadillac and Chevrolet) of the service bulletins and recalls that pertain to this issue I was told that it doesn't affect my vehicle #1 and on a later call back I was told that the Bulletin expired in April of 2022 and GM would not honor it. I never received a notice of either and all of my service work on this vehicle has been done at GM dealers since I purchased it new. Rear pads going before the fronts??? I wasn't born yesterday. The only way that happens is if there is a defective part. The dealer basically shrugged it off as oh well. I told them to put the tires back on and not touch it. My wife and I have owned 10+ GM vehicles over the years and never have I been so infuriated.
