  1. Open the door and apply felt tape to the backside where it might be rubbing. I did this along the entire top edge and that solved it for me.
  2. No loaner vehicle offered or supplied. I was fortunate to have a rusted out POS 2003 Ram 1500 as a backup. We've kept it around all these years just for these occurrences.
  3. I'd prefer to not be blowing oil out on the interstate and pulling over and topping off. You never know how severe of an issue it could turn into and that's just not a situation I, personally, would want to be in while pulling my rig far from home. I understand, to each their own, but that doesn't sound like a fun trip to me. I'm wishing and hoping I get a surprise call that the parts have come in, but at some point I'll have to make a decision.
  4. LOL, this is funny. I wouldn't bother contacting them. After 50 days in the shop, I finally just went to pick my truck up. I'm now just driving it around with an oil leak while I continue to wait for the parts that are on galactic back order. They offered to cover a couple months of car payments for my troubles. My payments are tiny so it was a joke. Might potentially be worth it for someone who did 100% financing, but means nothing to me. I'm still seeking alternative solutions. Good luck to anyone who has this oil leak. The outcomes are bleak. I still have an RV stranded 400 miles away and I'm not sure I want to risk going to get it with this truck for fear the current leak could turn into a catastrophic blow out and leave me stranded on the interstate with a broken down truck and my 5th wheel. I'm definitely not in a good place right now with this truck.
  5. Oil cooler and gaskets are still on back order.
  6. My understanding is that once they know about it, if you then keep it and keep driving it and blow the engine then warranty is denied. But i could be wrong, just what i was told by an adviser at a bmw dealer.
  7. 46 days and dealer informed me they are still waiting on parts even though i was told parts were on the way 2 weeks ago from today. Went this morning to remove all my personal belongings and 5th wheel hitch from the truck.
  8. Looks like it. Mine has been at the dealer 45 days today. I was told a week and a half ago that the part was finally being delivered I didn't press the issue and just assumed it would get fixed and I'd be on my way. Clearly, that did not happen. Good luck getting a part.
  9. 33 days in the shop out of service with no indication a part will ever be available. I called in for an update and was told my service advisor is no longer employed by the dealership. Never received any call from anyone to let me know. It’s a complete flustercluck. RV is stranded 400 miles away and i have no alternate means to get it home. Professional grade my ars.
  10. Still waiting on parts.
  11. 2024 GMC 3500 DRW Denali with RAM Longhorn Brown leather seats, and 6.7 powerstroke HO. And turning radius of F450. All the digital gauges from super duty, and led bed lighting with bed switch. That’ll pretty much do it for me.
  12. Just be warned, if you buy it used and it breaks down and they can’t get parts, you have very little recourse. For that type of money I’d go for new over used to be protected by lemon laws. Might be something to consider given 24 parts supply is terrible. My truck has about the same mileage as the one you are considering and has been in the shop going on 20 days straight waiting for parts.
  13. One could hope. So far, gm customer service indicated they’d be no help other than just relaying statuses. Not quite sure how echoing my service adviser helps, but i guess that’s their thing.
  14. It was the oil cooler leaking. Parts on backorder with no ETA. Already been in shop for 16 days and no end in sight. Maybe I'll get lucky. Going to stay hopeful.
  15. Mines in the shop now for an oil leak and to replace the control to fix this issue.
  16. Anyone think this is the infamous oil cooler leak. I’ll be taking it in but curious what anyone here might think. I did my first oil change about a week ago and noticed oil accumulated on bottom of trans. Wasn’t quite this bad. I cleaned at all up and had it spotless so i could keep an eye on it. just got back from 800 mile trip and this was the result. it’s not bad enough to drop. Garage floor is spotless. But it’s dripping under pressure and has gotten on the oil pan and underside of front edge of trans. Most is there next to oil filter.
  17. Aligned mine myself. I got lucky though. Mine tracked straight. Wheel was just off center. Didn’t feel like waiting in the dealer.
  18. Having come from a 22 with the 6.7 into a 24 gmc, i don’t envy Ford guys at all. To me, the super duty has only the powerstroke going for it. The rest of the truck is just cheap plastic inside a flimsy aluminum can. I absolutely hated everything about my 22 king ranch except the power of the 6.7. i much prefer the premium interior of the 24 Denali as well as the superior ride quality. If i could shove the powerstroke in my denali drw I’d have the perfect truck! Hoping the derringer gets me close. Looking forward to it.
  19. Is this ever happening?
  20. Your vehicle is charging the batteries while you are towing.
  21. All of this is what lemon laws are for. Throwing a tantrum isn’t the way. The dealer sold you a defective truck they received from the manufacturer. Your options are clearly outlined in your state’s Lemon laws and is technically between you and gm, not the dealer. Attempt to get it fixed so many times and then file the paperwork and get yourself a new truck. I’ve done it 4 times in 20 years. It’s just how the game is played. Best you learn the rules and stop fighting it. You’ll stress less.
  22. Great news from GD. Thank you for sharing. Basically doing at the factor what all of us have resorted to doing on our own.
  23. I did the plug as well. No difference. Only thing that resolved it was disconnecting Solar. it is a nice plug though, so no complaints there.
  24. Just drove 360 miles with the solar disconnected today and not a single issue.
  25. I put a simple dc switch between my solar controller and battery and that fixed it. When mine crapped out it would always indicate to check trailer wiring followed by trailer brake disconnected. A couple minutes later trailer brakes would return. In every instance i lost trailer brakes. Not even the manual slider would work. Considering the importance of trailer brakes and the safety issues with losing them, you’d think gm would leave them on if there was an issue. Shouldn’t the failsafe be to where the trailer brakes remain active not disabled? Seems very odd. I’m just glad there’s a workaround. Not a big deal for me to flip a switch to disconnect my solar. But that doesn’t mean I’m not ticked off over it. It put me in some very dangerous situations for many miles of my 800 mile trip. Not to mention the 3 attempts to track down faulty wiring, plug replacement, pulled all 4 hubs, etc. i even dropped the coroplast twice to check and recheck all wires and connections. Huge pain and very time consuming. I’ve always been pretty firmly in the “it’s always the trailer” camp so i really went after it.
