I do have apple but this happens when connected via Bluetooth. It works fine with usb

I can make phone calls when connected via Bluetooth but I have to do it from my phone if I try to make a phone call using the touchscreen on my 2016 Silverado 2500. When I click on the name or type in a phone number it does not do anything. Any help would be appreciated.
