Its doesn't matter what you do, GM has ALL USB and Apple Play devices shutdown while in motion. I have tried several different USB sticks with different formats, same issue. If you have apple play working, your cannot scroll through your music unless 1 you are stopped or 2 the vehicle is in park. Once moving, you can scroll a few tracks only... I have a 2023 S Class, and a Model X Tesla that handle USB/Music and apple play flawlessly....it's not your audio hardware, it's the truck.

Agreed, totally unnecessary. Obviously someone sued GM and they are protecting themselves now.

it will read Apple Lossless files but NOT while you are driving. GM has locked down music searching on USB drives AND apple play. Plays fine while stopped and in park. It may let you scroll SOME files but not all...Waiting on the company that made the video in motion harness to crack the google HU.

I also received this notice yesterday in the mail. I have a 2023 Silverado High Country 6.2, they are ordering me a new engine and said should have it 7-10 days... Had no problems whatsoever with the truck so far.

Very Nice! What kind of music are you throwing at it? Any chance you've figured out how to unlock the Stock HU to enable scrolling on an iPod or USB or even using Apple Play now. It is all locked down on my 23 High Country once you're moving. Sitting at a stop or in park, everything works great. There is a vendor working on unlocking the system, they say the big hurdle is the 360deg camera system...
