2020 Silverado 4.3 6L80e 33k miles Anyone have any experience with cold start rough shift from park to reverse and again into drive? I've noticed it for about 15k miles over the last 1.5 years. Have not taken it to a dealer because i think that is a waste of time and expect them to say they cant reproduce and/or its normal. I've done a lot of observation over the time and initially I thought it was correlated to high idle RPM as very often after remote start and idle for 3-5 minutes , the RPMs will be 600-700 still when I expect it to be 500. I've done trans pan drop and refill 2x a year since 2023 and while that resolved weird shifts when driving, it hasn't impacted the cold start rough shift to reverse/drive. Most recently I've seen people suggest it is a faulty MAF sensor? I do know if i let it warm up 5-10 minutes it shifts smoothly into Reverse and Drive. When I drive into work, it will not have a hard shift (after several hours sitting) when I leave. I know I've seen other instances here, just curious if anything conclusive has been discovered.

anything steel will all rust if you don't do preventative maintenance like oil coatings. if I'm not mistaken the doors hood and tailgate are aluminum so no rust, but bedsides, rockers, cab corners, and front fenders are still steel so you have to spray the inners or watch them rot. Take a magnet to your truck, if it sticks it will rust.

Hey, looking for a consensus on how useful these plastic skid plates on the trucks are, and if anyone takes them off. (The 2 piece go on the front end and are under the radiator and engine.) No harm no foul - i get that, but i took them off to do undercoating and i found that they act like a diaper and catch spilled oil from my oil changes. Who knows if they would catch a real leak and let it go undetected. Even have a honeycomb mold that seems perfect for holding fluids. What do you guys think?
