So I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 2.7L Turbo Custom and have the san e issue. May 2024, oil leak from oil pan. Pan will not hold a seal. Pan has been changed 7 times, each time gm sealant and anaerobic sealant was used. Got the truck Sept 23 and 8 months later this. Now it's September 24, I have 47,120 miles in it, under PT warranty and GM / Chevy mechanics can't fix it. They have called for the "Technical Engineer" to physically come and work on the truck. To which he did and STILL had the issue. What is the next step in GM/Chevy to support?

Actually, all that. Called them back and asked for the technicians notes. They did prime, and let it cure. Still, big leak. This can't be that bad. ******, I know once the pan (plastic, aluminum, etc.) Is changed properly, there should be some give. ***bangs head against table ***

SO ... The oil pan was cracked and after replacing it, it started to continue to leak. Dealer Mech said it was a GM defect. Not sure what's next. The mech said they are going to contact GM factory to see where to go next???

***Update: Went to authorized dealership. I was at half a quart. Previous dude blew the gasket by over tightening the drain plug more than 1/4 turn. Now, they performed a color dye test to see if further leaks exist.

I didn't think of that minute detail. I'm going to ask the tech. Also, I didn't realize it was the big boy forum. Lol I'm new to the site.

Definitely checking with engine off. And it's been about a week since the oil change. Haven't gone to spend the greens at the Chevy services yet but it's the next option.

So, oil seems clear. Wipe with rag, light stain. Tried it again. Zilch. Really concerned since I own a 2016 Traverse as well and it uses the identical same oil. Not clear on that stick. Changed them at the same time. Really obvious on that stick. Nice profile pic btw!

Help! Had an oil change done on my 2.7L 2020 Silverado. Checked the dip stick and it wasn't reading oil at all. PSI reads 30 to 32 psi at idle and normal drive. Changed it again 2 weeks later to be safe, same result. 6 quarts of 5w30. No reading. First time with the 4 banger. Is this normal? My machismo man senses are tingling...
