Anyone know why fuel would come out of the passenger side exhaust?

Same injectors, but new ones. To think of it, hubby got them shortly before the first engine blew.

What would cause a number 2 connecting rod to break in two separate engines in a 99 Chevy Silverado 5.3, LS engine? car wouldn't start in parking lot, was wiring in column. On the way home, started smoking out white smoke on passenger side exhaust that smelled like fuel. Was running the engine, trying to find the problem and the number two connecting rod shot through the oil pan. Put in another engine and it broke the number two rod again. Any ideas? I'm out of engines and ideas, lol.
